I walk urgently through the dark woods, in hope that no one else was here. The roots on the trees seem to spiral and intertwine as the rapidly grow, this is what I never liked about this place, everything changed too quickly, but, maybe that just says something about me. I stop and look around again, where am I going?I'm not sure why I'm here and I d- oh, no, there it is again. that thing, misty, ill-formed, jet black, thing. I've been running into it a lot lately and it's caused nothing but trouble. Oh, please not now! I silently plead some more though, I doubt anyone will hear me. I'm in a hurry now, but to where? I don't want it to bother me so I do the 'smart' thing and dash away from it.

I was fast but the figure was much faster. It knew where I was going to go even before I did, and when finally it caught me, it pinned me against a tree. I tried kicking and head butting it, but all my attempts just went right through him, literally. Which raises the question: how is it keeping me here? I look to my side and the thing had crystallized it's own hands! The brittle shards pierce through my shirt fabric and also skin, causing me to bleed. I breathe heavier, and with more hatred than I would have expected, I can feel my iris's burn into a different shape and color as the pressure inside me grows. I feel quick enough and strong to out smart it. Maybe, if I can get one of my arms free I can, I know it! I stop myself, what if it could hear me? My thoughts I mean. I feel like it can, yet, I could only be paranoid... Nevermind! I don't have much time to worry about it!

I can see the monster open what can only be described as a mouth and starts to breathe in, this drains my life force, is it stealing my soul? On my left shoulder I feel the hand let up for a split second and I take the chance, I move to the right side just as the fist reforms and punches the tree. It gets caught off guard an I make my escape by grabbing the other hand and smashing it against the other side of the tree. I start to run in the opposite direction, sadly, didn't make it too far considering the figure is still superior to me.

We stand grimacing at each other, when it makes it's first move, I'd nearly gotten hit by it if the crystallized arm didn't suddenly break away at the elbow. A gleam of the blade and a familiar red cape and hood appear behind it and is cut again, this time at the waist, it breaks apart entirely now and I pick up a shard before it recedes into the shadows along with the rest of its shatterd remains.

The caped swordswoman is standing still and poised behind it, with the hood covering her eyes. "Thanks, Narcissica, but, I could have finished that thing off myself." I say, matter-a-factly. Her name wasn't actually Narcissica but I've called her that for a while and she hasn't seemed to mind, I think it reflects her personality.

"Yeah, I'm sure you would have, but just to make sure you wouldn't get yourself killed, yet again, I wanted to join the party." She says somewhat scoldingly. "You should be on your way, Azul. Don't want to get caught in anymore trouble, do you?" I look at her begrudgingly and just smirks and disappears in the clutter of tree tops. I'll never let her have the last laugh again, and with that I carefully try to find my way out of the mess of trees.
