Sirius walked inside the Common Room, coming back from Detention with Professor McGonagall. When he entered,he noticed a person on the armchair, reading a book, his brown hair a mess, his eyes focused and his lips slightly parted, scars on his face being shown by the light of the fireplace.

Sirius smiled to himself, as he plopped on the couch, placing his bag down with a thud. Remus looked up from his book, and gave him a half-smile. That smile that Sirius surely fell for... he felt his cheeks heat up. He wanted to ask Remus out of a date or Hogsmeade, just him and Remus.

But of course, he was scared to do that. What if he has been picking up the signs wrongly? What if Remus doesn't like him as much as he does??? Loads of questions flooded his mind, and he inwardly groaned. He needed to tell him. He has to. If he doesn't feel the same...it would get incredibly awkward between them.

"Uhh..." started Sirius, making Remus look up from his book once again, "Are you free tomorrow, Rem?"

"I am..." nodded Remus. "Why?"

"I know it may seem...weird...and I hope I've been picking up the signs correctly," By now, Sirius' heart was beating like drums being played as more thoughts filled his head. "But uhh—merlin...I can do this." He muttered to himself.

Remus chuckled, and Sirius looked at him sheepishly, and blurted out: "Would you like to go to Hogsmeade with me?"

Remus' eyes widen, and Sirius added: "Not as friends...more than that."

Remus' surprised look turned into a soft one and he nodded. "I would love to."
