Her e/c eyes watched as Luna Lovegood, the girl the seemed to catch her eye, walked inside the Forbidden Forest a brown bag on her shoulder.

Luna and y/n has been close best friends since their first year together, despite being placed in different houses. Y/n in Hufflepuff and Luna in Ravenclaw.

Y/n frowned, and she followed the girl inside the Forest, she lets out a small gasp when she sees some creatures that Luna is feeding.

Sensing y/n's presence, Luna said in her dreamy voice: "Thestrals."

"How come I've never seen them before." asked y/n, approaching them slowly, stopping beside Luna.

"You lost your parents last year..." said Luna, picking her words up wisely. "You were there, were you...?"

Y/n nodded and sighed, looking at Luna. "Unfortunately, I was."

"It's gonna be all right, y/n." smiled Luna, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I...yeah." swallowed y/n. "You never told me about yours."

"Oh." Luna knelt down, picking something up inside her bag, throwing it to a smaller Thestral. "My mum died from experimenting a spell...I was there when I was nine."

"Oh...I'm sorry."

"Its fine, it was a long time ago." Luna picks something inside her bag and gave it to y/n.

"An apple?"

"Give it to them." Luna nodded towards three Thestrals.

"I don't think they'll like apples." y/n lightly shrugged, "Meat could be better."

"I've ran out." Luna pursed her lips, she frowned and looked at y/n who threw the apple at the creature. What y/n did not know, was that Luna grew fond of y/n. "If you do not mind me asking..."

"How did my parents die?" asked y/n, looking at Luna who nodded. "We were at home. When the Death Eaters came in...my mother saved me and I did not see my father, only saw spells being thrown across the room. I was quick enough to use floo and I saw my mother being killed in front of me before I left."

"It's fine..." y/n pursed her lips, and Luna placed a hand on her shoulder. "At least I still have you..."

"Of course."

It was past midnight, meaning it's also past curfew. Y/n and Luna already in their sixth year, walked up the stairs to the Astronomy Tower, where Luna was holding y/n's hand as the blonde girl led the way.

"Where exactly are we going, Luna?" asked Y/n, frowning as butterflies flutter around in her stomach from Luna's touch.

"Astronomy Tower. Tonight, at this time, stars will shine brighter than ever." replied Luna, "I read about it, just last night."

"Oh, all right."

Opening the doors to the Tower, the stars shined brighter than before. Many constellations that y/n and Luna can name, some that are unknown that just appeared tonight shined bright in the sky. The moon was full, a perfect time for a werewolf to come out.

Y/n's eyes stare at the sky, while Luna looked at y/n with a smile on her face. Luna leads y/n on a small step where they sat down.

"This beautiful." gaped y/n, Luna nodded.

"I know." smiled Luna, with her dreamy voice. Y/n cleared her throat, and Luna turned to face the girl. "Something wrong?"

"I...uhh...I..." stuttered y/n, Luna frowned and lifts a brow as she tucks a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear.

"I sense there's something you want to tell me." said Luna, "but you're scared."

"Quite obvious, really." shrugged y/n.

"Then, take your time." Luna smiled, looking back at the stars as her eyes glitters along to the blinking of the stars. "Because, I myself has been wanting to tell you how I feel."

Y/n nodded, before her head snapped back to her. "I'm sorry...feelings??"

"Yes." nodded Luna, "Third year, I realised."

"But I thought you were..."

"I'm not." smiled Luna, her blue eyes met
y/n's e/c ones. "Is that what you were going to say?"

"I...yeah." nodded y/n, when she now realised that they were sitting very, very close to each other. "I like you, Luna."

"I do too,"

Bringing their face close to each other's, Luna's breath was felt against y/n's skin and y/n kissed her on the lips. The stars above them glittered, the view of the sky was mesmerising, but right now...

Each other was mesmerising.
