"MISS Nikki, can you please bring these to Chief?"

"Pa-schedule naman ng meeting with the Chief, Miss Nikki."

"Nandiyan ba si Sir Jericho, Nikki?"

"Are you okay, Niks?"

I grimance as I felt another pang of pain in my left abdomen. I forced a smile to them and take the papers and folders from them.

I dipped my finger into the Vicks and rubbed it in my stomach hoping it will relieve the pain. I groaned and stretched my back and stand up.

"Hey." Jericho said as I entered his office. Matipid ko siyang nginitian at inabot ko sakanya ang mga papel na kailangan niyang pirmahan.

Kahit na may nangyari na samin ay hindi pa rin niya 'ko pinapayagan na makalapit sa lamesa niya.

"Are you okay? You're pale." Aniya at nilapitan ako. Hinawakan niya ang pisngi ko para makita ang mukha ko. But I just gave him a small smile assuring him I'm fine then I left.

Since this morning, my stomach starts to hurt abnormally. I thought it was something not serious but since I got here in the office, I felt a little nauseous. But I didn't mind it and continued my work.

HABANG busy ako sa mga e-mails at sa paggawa ng mga minutes, I heard a pair of stilletos. Nanlaki naman ang mata ko ng makalapit na sakin si Camille na naka puting sheath dress. Her brows are shot up as she look down on me. "Is Echo inside?" Mataray niyang tanong.

Medyo natagalan ako sa pag-react dahil hindi ko kilala kumg sinong tinutukoy niya pero ng maalala ko ulit 'yon, halos mapairap ako.

Right. Echo.

I composed myself and guided her to Jericho's office. I was about to knock when she made herself in and it made Jericho stood up in surprise. "What are you doing here?" Seryosong tanong nito.

Camille ignored his question and went close to him to give a kiss in the cheek. Jericho and I are both stunned because of that but when Camille pulled away and she looked at Jericho's table, she was shocked.

Napansin naman iyon ni Jericho kaya pinilit niya itong nilayo sa lamesa niya at pinaupo sa sofa. "Why don't you... buy a coffee real quick, Dominique?" Kalmadong utos sakin ni Jericho. Nang tinignan ko siya sa mata ay parang may iba dito, parang tensyonado ang kanyang mga mata salungat ng kanyang boses.

"Yeah. Why don't you leave the two of us and take your time." Camille said, dismissing me. But I nodded at Jericho who looked relieved when I did that.

My chest starts to get hurt too as I left the building. Walang appointment si Camille and that's a surprise from the both of us. And now they're both alone in the corner office.

I entered Tim Hortons' café and bought Jericho's usual coffee but for two. As I'm waiting for the coffee, I felt someone grabbed my shoulder making me jump in my seat and yelp.

Nang tignan ko kung sino 'yon ay napasinghap ako ng malakas. "Tony!"

"Bakla!!!" And he gave a full tight hug.

Si Tony ang isa sa mga kaibigan ko noon sa Australia. I remember it was autumn that day and I was about to enter my class when Tony stopped me. Noong una ay hindi ko siya mamukhaan and I was running late kaya tinakbuhan ko siya. But he waited for me in lunch and there he told me about how we first met.

Kahit papano ay naging maayos ang pag-aaral ko sa kolehiyo dahil kay Tony. Hindi ako totally naging loner dahil sakanyan at sa mga kaibigan niyang naging kaibigan ko na rin.
