chapter 4

This is a pretty short chapter.

♡ (time skip) ◇ (flashback)

Rezia's POV,

"You're home early" Koutaro stated flipping another page of his fashion magazine, I  slammed myself on the sofa next to him and buried my face on a pillow,

Koutaro is a very close friend of mine, he's living with me in my house because he's too lazy to buy his own and to be honest I don't want to live alone, he pats my head soothingly as he let out a soft chuckle,

"You don't look so good" he says shifting closer to me, "I brought Millie to her house" I said looking down at my feet, finding it extremely amusing, he will not like what I'm about to say,

"Oh that's nice of you, was she sick?" he asked, his long hair getting to his face, I tugged it in on the side of his ear,

"She's okay" I answered, "I talked with him today" I continued silently praying to all the saints gods and goddesses above, he looked at me  with a shocked expression that immediately turned into worry,

"How was it? How did it go?" he asked, more like interrogated me, his gaze never leaving mine,

"Thank you for accepting my request" Kirishima Shouta started looking down at his cup of coffee, after our little  dramatic 'meeting' he asked me for a cup of coffee in the nearby cafe,

I stayed silent, observing his every move, "I understand if you despise me because of what happened in the past, and that's why I'm here to properly apologize" he continued,

"I did some despicable and unforgivable things, I broke our promise and left you without even considering your side, and I apologize for that, it's okay, you don't have to forgive me right now, I respect that" he stopped,

I noticed tear slowly went down his face, his expression full of guilt,

I guess he never changed, the angel I met three years ago was in front of me once again,

"After you slam the door shut, I realized what I did, my mistake was I never chase after you, I tried to contact you non-stop, but days turn to weeks and weeks turned to months, I never stopped but then Millie told me that you change your number, I begged her to tell me  but Ellie would always push me away" he went silent, he cradled himself crying silently,

I could only stare at him, for some reason I didn't feel anything, is this what you call being heartless?

"I'm still in love with you Miss Kurosaki, I still do, I know you don't feel the same way, but please give me a second chance" he pleaded, looking me in the eyes for the first time,

I smiled at him but the smile never reached my eyes.

End

"I forgave him and I gave him a second chance, he deserves one" I mumbled as I smiled happily to Kou, he smiled Back and embraced me, "good for you love".

"can you promise me something"

"Hmm"

"Promise me that you will never leave my side"

"I Shouta Kirishima promise to never leave Miss Kurosaki my future wife alone, I will forever entangle her with my annoying self"
