This wasn't the first time Dawuni had received such a threat, infact, it happened all the time, when criminals realized he was hot on thier trails. This meant that whoever this white shadow was, he knew that Dawuni was investigating the case. But how did the person know? Or was there a bug in his house? No, he did routine bug checks thrice a week and he had found nothing.
His phone line was very secure and his calls with the president were secured by an end to end encryption. It could also have been one of his suspects, a notion Dawuni couldn't dismiss.
Dawuni asked all the people around but none of them had seen anybody open his car. He wasn't surprised as the street had become busier during his time in the shop.
He sat in the car with a determined look on his face. If the blackmailer thought that a threat could do the trick , then he was in for the shock of his life.
Dawuni's family knew how to protect themselves, years of having a detective in the family had thaught them that much. They were extremely meticulous and observant, so Dawuni wasn't that worried.
But Dawuni knew from experience that some threats could never be taken lightly.

The receptionist at the forecourt of Baobab Media House smiled broadly when Dawuni walked up to her and asked for directions to the office of the manager in charge of logistics. She told him it was on the third floor, the second door to his left.
Dawuni chuckled as he took the stairs two by two, knowing that the smile on the receptionist face wasn't going to last the whole day.
It would gradually wan as her patience with people coming in, wore thin. When Dawuni got to the office, he asked the secretary if he could see the manager.
"Do you have an appointment?" She asked. " If you don't then I'm sorry. Mr Amponsah is very busy today and as such, can't have an impromptu meeting with anyone."
"I'm from the CID." Dawuni flashed his badge." So I'm sure he will make an exception."
The badge worked it's magic as usual and the secretary picked up the telephone and called Mr Amponsah. Clearly, the presence of a CID officer wasn't a matter to joke with. The secretary put the telephone down and ushered Dawuni into the office.
Mr Amponsah heaved his fat frame off his swivel chair and shook hands with Dawuni, offering him a seat and coffee.
"I hope everything is alright?" Mr Amponsah clasped his hands in front of him, a smile plastered on his face.
Everything is just perfect, Dawuni thought to himself. That's why I'm driving around aimlessly on a hot day asking people questions.
"There's nothing to worry about, Sir." Dawuni also smiled . " I just need some information concerning the Zeus RT-7 drones your outfit purchased from Electronic Arcade."
Mr Amponsah nodded." So what do you want to know?"
"First of all, who uses those drones?"
"The drones are usually used by our cameramen to take aerial shots of a place."
"So any cameraman who wants to use a drone just goes and picks one?"
"No, not all. The drones together with other special equipment are kept under lock and key. Anyone who wants to use them must first go through the storekeeper, Issaka."
"I would like to know who used those drones during the last three weeks."
"I can't give you that information." Mr Amponsah said. " The best person to do that would be Issaka."
Mr Amponsah picked up his telephone and spoke to his secretary. Minutes later the secretary ushered a thin man with a tablet into the office. Mr Amponsah introduced Dawuni to Issaka, the thin man acknowledging Dawuni with a slight nod.
"I would like to know if the Zeus RT-7 drones have been used during the last three weeks and who used them." Dawuni told Issaka.
The storekeeper consulted his tablet and looked up. " Actually, none of them have been used for the last three weeks. You see, the drones are somewhat complicated ,so most of the cameramen still use the old drones."
"How effective is the system that is used to access the drone?" Dawuni asked.
"Very. The storeroom can only be accessed by the fingerprints of Mr Amponsah and I. Should anyone break into the store rooms, a notification will be sent to us via our devices."
Dawuni nodded. The system wasn't perfect and like every other system, it had loopholes, but Dawuni was in a bit of a hurry. He decided to check with Mr Kuma and if he found nothing he would come back here.
He thanked Mr Amponsah and Issaka, taking his leave. As Dawuni stepped outside the media house, the heat hit him , wrapping around him like a blanket and sweat started forming on his forehead.
