Dawuni looked at his reflection in the mirror. The tailor had done a very good job and the outfit fitted him perfectly. The tailor had used the white cloth to create a pattern around the collar and lined the cuffs and bottom of the shirt.

Dawuni straightened his collar and the events of last week rolled into his mind. The ambulance had arrived late and Irene's body was already cold. He had been so sad  and disappointed. The excitement he usually experienced when he solved a case was missing. He felt he had failed.

The meeting had been delayed when they discovered that all the presentation on the computers were gone. Luckily, they had backup. Only one person in that meeting now knew exactly what had happened.

Dawuni didn't know what was going to happen  to Nii and Monique's relationship. But he could guess this much. The relationship would've to end.

He shook his head. Today was his sister's wedding and he could not afford to have his mood ruined. It was supposed to be a day of happiness and not regret or sadness.

Dawuni smiled and marveled at how fast time flew. Now, Little Maurie was getting married. He couldn't wait to walk her down the aisle.

Taking one last look at himself, Dawuni picked up his car keys and left the house. The morning breeze caressing his face like a reluctant lover.
