C h a p t e r 3

3rd POV

The twins were currently seated in the living room watching cartoons when Alessi's stomach growled loudly.

Angelo looked up from his phone and struggled to hold his smile in.

"Why don't I go make breakfast," Harley said with an amused smile

Adeline looked up at Alessi with a silent question in her eyes.

"You guys wanna help," Harley asked

"Yes!" Alessi cheered. He jumped off the couch and held his hands out to Adeline. While she scooted off carefully.

He then dragged her to Harley and stopped so he could lead the way.

They're making pancakes. Alessi and Adeline were sitting on the counter mixing small bowls of the batter while Harley handled the biggest bowl.

He let them both pick a flavor of pancakes while he cut up fruit for the side.

Adeline chose chocolate chip while Alessi chose blueberry.

He gave them both a couple of chocolate chips to eat while he finished up.

"Which flavor do you like best Harwey" Alessi asked

He grinned widely at how Alessi messed up his.

"Blueberry," he said goofily

"Harwey no like chocolate?" Adeline asked with a small pout.

" I do, but I prefer healthier toppings "

Alessi shrugged and turned to Adeline with a smile.

"Addy, how many pancakes are you gonna eat?" he questioned

"I dun know"

"Well I'm gonna eat 100" he exclaimed

"100? Your gonna explode" she giggled

"No! Ms. Mary said if I eat a lot then I'm gonna be big and strong. If I eat 100 I can be super big like Enzo and papa." Alessi said with a determined look on his face

"No bubby. Ms. Mary told me if you eat too much you get a stomach ache and will feel icky" she reasoned

"Your right addy I don't wanna feel icky" he smiled

"Who's Ms. Mary" Harley questioned

"Ms. Mary is an old lady that mama lets us stay with. When mama gets a new boyfriend we get to stay with her." Adeline explained

"She bakes us cookies and plays with us. Sometimes her grandchildren come over and play with us too" Alessi added with a smile

"She seems wonderful " he smiled at them

Harley knew they wouldn't be able to see her anymore because they moved states but he decided to not tell them. He didn't want to see his baby siblings sad anymore.

Harley took their bowls to the opposite counter and called in Angelo for help.

The twins had gotten a little messy in their mixing and they both had the sticky mix covering their hands.

"Can you take these two to the bathroom to get cleaned up? I'm gonna finish cooking in here." He asked once he saw Angelo in the doorway

"We can play with Angie?" Adeline looked up and questioned softly

"Yes, baby. Thank you guys for all your help" Harley smiled while giving them both kisses to the foreheads

Angelo had taken them to the bathroom and had washed their tiny hands.
