"Hey, can you bring back some groceries?" Dylan drunkly asked before going back to sleep. I rolled my eyes and exited the house to go to the grocery store. The roads were covered in dead leaves as autumn nears.

It's actually kind of cold, makes me wish I wore more than just sweats and a long sleeve shirt. Should have brought a jacket or maybe some warmer shoes other than vans.

Entering the local grocery store, I was faced with people from school and their parents. Disgusting. Honestly, one of the worst parts about a small town is having to see people from school literally everywhere.

I can be having a mental breakdown and everyone would know about it the next day either due to neighbors or them seeing me wonder around the streets high.

Not that I do drugs.

Except a few times.

Anyways.

I grabbed a basket and began to do groceries. Every single person I bumped into went to my school. The only person I didn't expect to see was here.

"Ian?" I asked when I bumped into him, looking up. He was dressed in sunglasses and based on the section we were in, I can tell he was hung over and looking for a remedy.

We haven't hung out since the project Thursday, I missed school on Friday, and now it's the weekend. We only got up to the fourth chapter with the annotations.

"You weren't supposed to recognize me with my disguise." Ian said with a slight laugh and looked down at my grocery bin. "Mind if I put my stuff in there? It's getting kind of difficult."

I shrugged my shoulders and watched as he took my basket and put his stuff in there, now holding onto it. With a shrug, I grabbed the tea from the shelves and put it into the basket. We shopped in silence and finally made it to the check out line where Ian payed for my stuff.

"You didn't have to." I said taking my bags and watched as he just shoved his stuff into his pockets. Before I could walk away, he grabbed onto my shoulder and gestures towards his car.

"Come on." He simply stated, obviously not in the right state of mind.

"How about I drive your car?" I said taking his keys from his pockets with my free hand.

"Oh don't worry, I'm not the one driving." He said with a laugh and guided me towards the car. There Greyson sat in the drivers seat with a mad expression.

"Finally! My fucking god, you left me in this car with no-" he stopped when he noticed me staring, "are you joining us?"

"Yes he is." Ian said opening the passenger seat for me and practically pushed me in.

"It's weird, we don't talk for months and suddenly you guys are all I see." I mumbled and looked down at my groceries. "These things are going to spoil if we don't put them in the fridge soon."

"Oh chill kitty, we're going to Ian's house first to drop off some stuff then we're cruising into New York." People come here often times during the holidays because we're a good hour away.

"I'm not even dressed." I said looking down. This is not New York attire.

"Are you stupid? I just said we're going to Ian's first."

"You don't have to be so mean about it asshole!" I yelled slapping his arm as hard as I could. Greyson looked at me with a deadly glare causing me to shiver and shake my head. "Asshole."

"I will take you home right now if you don't behave." He threatened causing me to shut up. As much as I say that I hate them, we all know that I don't mind their company. I would rather be with them than that empty house.
