"What's wrong with you?" Liz asked handing me some more dishes. I rolled my eyes and washed the dish.
"Nothing." I simply stated and groaned when she sticked around.
"You sure? You seem angry."
"I said I'm fine, just leave me alone," I snapped and looked over at her and winced when I saw she looked hurt, "please."
Liz nodded her head and went back to serving the customers. I don't have any friends and I know why. I'm bitchy and closed off.
Finally it was time for us to close and I finished wiping down all the tables. Liz came up to me looking down at my shoes. She had really curly hair and big brown eyes with dark skin. I don't know why I don't give her a chance.
"A few of us are going to the arcade before heading home, want to come?" She asked and scratched her head. "And look, I'm sorry about earlier, I should have left you alone."
"It's fine. I'm sorry for being a bitch. And I can't today, I have plans. But maybe another day?" I offered and looked out the window to see Greyson.
"You know Greyson Brown?"
"Yeah, we're classmates." I said with a shrug and noticed she was still looking over at him. She must like him.
"Oh, well have fun." She said as I walked out the door. The sun was setting as I hopped into the car. He looked over at me and looked back to the road. He was dressed in basketball shorts and a tank top, his hair wet from the shower.
The ride to Ian's house was silent as I changed in the passenger seat into the sweats. I left my pants in the backseat of the car and led the way into Ian's house.
It's just like how he had it a few years ago. I remember coming here one day with Marie, Greyson had picked us up and we all just hung out at Ian's house playing video games. This was a little bit before we had hooked up, so Greyson was bullying me in school, but around Marie, he acted like a genuine human being for once.
"I think I should go home." I said to Greyson as we stepped up to the porch. My stomach was in knots from the memories of us all together playing video games and eating junk food. Tears were surfacing again and I don't want him of all people to see me cry.
"Why kitty? Are you in a heat?" He teased and reached over me to knock on the door when I didn't. I turned around and tried to make my escape, but Greyson was so much taller than me, his body was able to act like some sort of fort.
"Please Grey! This isn't a joke!" I whined and felt my body tense up with Ian opened the door. His dog, Buddy, came rushing out and jumped ontop of me. I screamed as I fell onto Greyson, but thankfully he was able to keep us up.
"I know you have a crush on me, but no need for the harassment." Greyson joked, still holding onto my waist.
"Shut up! It's the damn dog, not me!" I yelled and pushed Greyson away from me, sucking up the pain I feel in my heart.
"Buddy, come in." Ian called causing the dog to come rushing back inside. Truthfully I hate dogs, but his dog is probably one of the only ones I can tolerate.
It's a really cute black lab mixed with husky.
"Thanks for having us." I said leading the way inside. "I'm just going to use the bathroom really quick."
Ian looked over at me as he greeted Greyson. "Do you need me-"
He cut himself off with a sad smile and turned back to Greyson, closing the door behind him. I know my way around the house already and ran to the bathroom. Throw up came out of my mouth involuntarily.
