Walking into the club with the fakes, we found a spot at the bar to order some drinks. Ian knew the bartender who instantly hooked up us with drinks.
"Thanks." I said taking the two shots and cheers. "Arriba, abajo, al centro, y pa 'dentro." We all said with a laugh.
I downed the shot and loved the bitter taste on my lips. We took the second one in silence and drank the chaser.
"I'm going to go dance." Greyson said disappearing into the crowd. I sighed and shook my head, handing back the empty shot glasses.
"Just go talk to him." Ian said and scanned the crowd for a group of girls to immerse himself into. I rolled my eyes and knew better than to ignore the advice of Ian Santiago. But still.
"What am I supposed to say to him?" I sighed and watched as he dismissively shrugged his shoulders. "You're no help."
"Well I'm no guru either." He joked and slapped the back of my neck. "Good luck. I'm going to try a sleepover."
I rolled my eyes and watched as he disappeared as well. With a sigh, I knew I had to go find Greyson before things get any worse.
Walking into the crowd, it was dark and there were people everywhere. A slow song was playing and that's when Greyson came to view. Dancing with some bitch.
Scuffing, instead of turning around like I'd normally do, I pulled her away from him and kissed Greyson. He pushed away and looked at me confused.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and put my body into his, practically grinding against him. He closed his eyes in pleasure and let out a breathe of relief and anticipation as I grind even more.
"You're mine." I said into his ear, biting down on him slightly causing his breathing to hitch. He put his arms to my waist and guided my hips to the sound of the music.
"Talk to me." Greyson demanded looking into my eyes as we leaned our foreheads against each other. His lips looked so beautiful and plump. He licked his lips when he caught me staring at his and smirked. "Now."
"That I want to fuck?" I asked out of confusion, my cheeks blushed. He pulled me closer and shook his head.
"Later, but we need to talk." Greyson said guiding me out of the club. He gestured to the bouncer that we were going to be out for a second and brought me to the alley.
I shook my head and grabbed his hand, taking him to somewhere less sketchy. We walked the block and it was amazing. The skyscrapers everywhere. You look up and you can get lost in the world if buildings. An infinite amount of lives being lived all so close to each other.
And there's Greyson and I. Our story intertwined with each other's.
"I need you to do something for me." I said looking down at my shoes as we walked. There was a park in the distance with swings. Greyson guided us there and ran towards the play feature with the slide.
I laughed and watched as he sat at the entrance of the slide at the very top. He looked like a king. With a sigh, I followed him up and sat down across from him. He grabbed onto my hands with a smile.
"Better." He said looking into my eyes with confusion. "Tell you what?"
I sighed again and felt more anxious than ever. What am I supposed to tell him? No I know what I have to tell him, but how? Just do it straight to his face. Go.
"I need you to tell me," one more breathe and go, "that you won't leave me."
Tears ran down my face and with him holding onto my hands, I can't wipe them away.
"What? I already did?"
"Tell me you won't leave me, like straight to me face and serious. Not because you're comforting me. Please? Because everyone leaves and I don't want you to leave." I cried looking down in embarrassment. "It's stupid, I know. But it's just that, I need you to tell me that and I get if you want to leave since I'm a crazy bitch. Like by all means you can-""
He grabbed onto my wet ass cheeks and pulled my face into his and kissed me. Instantly, I pulled my body closer to his and practically straddled his waist. I miss this. I miss us.
Deepening the kiss, he put his tongue into my mouth as if he was fighting the urge to completely destroy me. Pulling away, he was crying too.
"I'd never leave you, Adrien." He said wiping away the tears with a soft smile on his lips. "And I get it, okay? I really do."
"I love you, Greyson. I love you so much." I cried even harder. It may be from the drinking or I don't know, but it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. "I love you."
I kissed his forehead.
"I love you."
I kissed his cheeks.
"I love you." He giggled as I kissed his neck.
"I love you." I whispered looking into his eyes.
He smiled so brightly that I knew we were going to be okay. His hands were steady as they held me and I knew I was safe. I knew this wasn't going to just disappear.
"I love you too, Adrien."
Heading back into the club, I felt one with him as we danced. Every song, every beat, we were in sync.
Then finally at the hotel, I knew I could stay in his arms forever. That I don't need to be scared anymore. That it's okay for people to leave, but more importantly, there are going to be those that stay. That they love me with their whole hearts and won't disappear on me.
Dylan Lee, my brother from another mother. He's not leaving me again.
Ian Santiago, my best friend's boyfriend. He's not leaving me.
And Greyson Brown, my boyfriend. The one who loves me.
I thought I was never going to get past Marie's death. But I know now, with death comes the painful silver lining: love. And as painful as it was for me to realize this. It's okay to be happy. It's okay to feel pain, but I have to get up. I have to move on. It's apart of life.
"I'm never letting you go." I whispered to Greyson Brown, the love of my life.
