Jay POV

"Jay, look at me." My mom tried to reach my face and wipe my tears away, "You're too good for this place, Hollywood is better than this world of craziness. Just don't forget to visit me here in Brooklyn." If only she knew I could just teleport back and forth from Brooklyn to Hollywood under the shortest seconds. I took her hand and placed it on her chest, "Look once I book my first gig, I will come back and tell you what happened.."

She quivered and cried, "Your father was so proud of you, but since what happened, I don't know if we were ever meant to be together.." I nodded and sighed. My parents divorced when I was 15, yet I am 17 and I am a ghost who can be physical and unseen, but I can also be seen by those who loved me or trusted me or just by luck on those who can see ghost or near a person who sees ghost to make me appear. But some of the stuff I say is the truth can be a full on lie, I can't control it. So I might be lying right now without even knowing.

I may have died by eating something way over its' due date, yet I came back alive after my mother kept me in her thoughts. I teleported away and just like a flash of light I was in Hollywood. I ended up in the middle of a crowd as I heard the drums playing and faded out.

"Thank you all, and good night. We are Julie & The Phantoms.." people applauded and started to exit just like when I teleported to Hollywood the three boys disappeared from the stage and then appeared in my eye view once again. They are ghosts just like me, well sort of similar.

As people left, I stayed back just about to ask them a question but then I felt a cold hand on my shoulder and another around my mouth to quiet and muffle my voice for help. I tried screaming as whoever this is and I teleported out of wherever I ended up and into a casino type hotel room.

The person unmuffled me as I scream, "WHO ARE YOU?! AND WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH ME?!" I was nearly out of breath. It was an older man dressed as a magician, "I am going to make you famous and all you have to do is four little things for me.", "Not until I get answers on why you brought me to a cas-", "It's actually a hotel for the ghosts that hasn't passed over just yet."

"Hotel, Casino, whatever. Why did you bring me here and who the flips are you?" The guy sighed, "Caleb is the name and I brought you here for those four little favors I need. And your special gift is all I need also. So what's your name son?" I looked at him strangely.

"Why should I tell you?", "If you tell me I promise I won't hurt you..but if not I understand." I stood there in silence as he placed his hand out, "I don't have all day..or wait I do, I have all my life just waiting for you to arrive here in Hollywood." I tried to teleport away but instead my arm sprung out and shook his hand.

A purple glowing tattoo appeared on my wrist and disappeared. "Now where were we Jayden Greene.." he crossed his arms and smirked at me. "I know your talented gift is just like Julianna & her mother Rose..and that is singing..but you can also write songs that tell a story and make people feel guilt." I gulp, "so the favors..what are they? And if I do them, you owe me to make me famous."

A paper poofed in his hands as he looked at me, "Number 1: You work for me and do as I say, Number 2: You become the next leader singer in Phantoms and the Julie, Number 3: You must keep this all a secret from anyone..", "And if not?" A lighting pulse shock inside my body as I scream in pain and fall back onto a table.

"That's if not, and Number 4: Your soul is mine until I say otherwise.." I looked at him strangely and then leaned my head back on the table in pain. None were favors but just some commands to follow. "Now let me just go get my skater boy and you two will be off to fool those Phantoms.." he left and gave me the paper and pushed it against my chest. I leaned back up and stared at the paper.

Back-up Singer Wanted For Julie & The Phantoms
Meet at 45th Street @ Noon

I groaned as I looked at my surroundings and hit the table, I ended up making a song while I was in my anger phase.

Eyes Of A Liar

I heard there was a secret
That Caleb knew about, and it pleased to the eye
But you don't really care what's going on here , do ya?
Well, it went like this
The fourth, the fifth
The fourth, the fifth, and the sixth
That Magician thought I could be doing these by remixing

But I'm not here to stay
and work for the eye of a liar.
It seems by the looks of it
That I am a single sell-out sniper snake
I'm not here to lie to you
I am here to show what I can do and to prove

Some people wait a lifetime
For me to be like this
Some people search forever
For that one single high note I can sing
Ohh I can't believe it's happening to me
Being stuck in a hotel filled of Ghouls
since he has my soul in this Hotel

I'm not here to say I'm a single sniper snake
I'm not here to lie to you
He is the liar to peoples eye

There's still a little bit of me on my mind
There's still a little bit of him hanging by a thread.
He has me lacing through his fingers in my hand that I shook
It's still a little hard to say what's going on here
There's still a little bit of your head,
your meaty head that I can try
and prove that I am not what people say.

There's still a little bit of your contract I haven't ripped apart but it reforms on it's on.
You step a little closer each minute
So what can I say
What I can't say what's going on
Since I am sworn to never tell my past

But now with the tattoo he gave me was a kick in the heart to try and trust once again
But when I see you again, just know I will kick your meaty head

I breathed out as he came back with the teen who looked like he was skating. "This is William." I waved at him slightly, "William this is Jayden Greene," he waved back. "He is the new back-up singer for the Phantoms and you are going to make sure he gets there and be heard. And if not.." he snapped as the lighting pulse thing made me fall back again but this time on the floor, "That will happen but much more quickly.."

"Yes sir. I'll make sure." His voice sounded displeased as Caleb disappeared and he helped me up. "So how'd you die? Did you die like the phantoms and ate a not so good hotdog.." I laugh as he told me he was serious since that was literally how they died. "Oh. Well I died of an allergic reaction to nuts.." that was a lie, but he didn't have to know that. "Oh geez that's really bad."

I nodded, "what about you? How'd you die?" He showed me his skateboard as it had a date and location. "Venice Beach, July 3rd 1998. I got into a bad skateboard accident, but after years and years, I finally had courage to ride again." I smiled, "That's amazing."

He smiled, "You know you can trust me right. I am not like Caleb. I've helped the Phantoms remove their tattoo from Caleb. You just need to find out what can open you up, let people trust you or gain the trust of someone. Or feel loved like them, since they were never accepted. Luke was never accepted as a rockstar, Reggie was never accepted as being a singer due to his vocal range as a guy, then there's' Alex that was never accepted due to him being gay..." my mouth dropped open, I can connect in a way to all of them.

"So..ready to audition Jayden?" I looked at him and said "Before we go, I go by Jay..not Jayden.", "Okay..I go by Willie not William..so we cool?" I nodded. "Before you can get to Auditions for the band, you first need to be seen in her view. So go to Julie's school and join the music program in the school. That is where she will discover you and recommend you to the band. They always hid and chatted near the janitor closet.."

I nodded and teleported away and appeared in front of the school as a backpack poofed on my back and a schedule and letter of appreciation for the music program.
