Part 1, Episode 4: Lies Become Truth

Jay POV

As we turned into her neighbourhood I could feel the present from the guys. We walked into her backyard and into the garage like area. "Well, this is where I live..and this is the studio where the band lives."

She opened the door as I heard them jamming out and also saw them, but I had to act as if I could just hear the music. "Where is that music coming from?" she laughs, "the music is coming from The Phantoms.."

They appeared in view as Flynn looked at them, "Oh I miss seeing your guys faces.." they laugh, "Luke, Reggie, Alex this is Jacob, Jacob this is Luke, Reggie, Alex..", "Also previously known as Sunset Curve, tell your friends.."

I laugh at Reggie's comment, "But now we are the phantoms minus Julie. So you auditioning for the Backup singer?" I nodded as they all looked pleased, if they only knew that I was undercover. "Well let's hear a song."

I smiled and had to think of one, "Do you want any song or an introduction about me?" I asked as Luke looked at me, "Any song.", "Okay.." I began to stomp and clap along to a beat I made.

I get on with life as a musician,
I'm not even a person.

I like to sing during the week.

I stood there in silence as they looked at me, "I. am. Sorry..." I said as I yelled and fell back, the pulse this time wasn't in my stomach, but in my brain.

Luke POV

"Five..six..five..six..seven..eight.." I shredded on the guitar as Alex banged on the drums, as Reggie strummed the base. I saw the door as Julie, Flynn and some guy walked in. He was the same guy who bumped into her earlier. "Where is that music coming from?" she laughs at that guy dumb knowledge. "The music is coming from The Phantoms.."

We appeared in view as Flynn looked at us, "Oh I miss seeing your guys faces.." We laugh, "Luke, Reggie, Alex this is Jacob, Jacob this is Luke, Reggie, Alex..", "Also previously known as Sunset Curve, tell your friends.."

I hit Reggie's shoulder as Julie and them laugh at his comment, "But now we are the phantoms minus Julie. So you auditioning for the Backup singer?" he nodded as we all looked at him, I placed my guitar down. "Well let's hear a song."

I said as he smiled, "Do you want any song or an introduction about me?" I looked at him, "Any song.", "Okay.." he began to stomp and clap along to a beat he made. After he finished me and the guys eyes widened with our mouths opened.

Caleb is out there and Jacob was taken advantage of. "Wait what do you mean you're not human?" asked Flynn, "I am a ghost who can be physically human and in ghost form.", "Woah.." we all said.

"Wait, you look familiar.." mentioned Reggie as I looked at him and back at Jacob. He did look familiar but who, "I lied to you all..my real name is Jayden Greene..but I chose to go by Jay. And Alex, I was Jane.." another pulse of lightning struck, feeling hit at him, he had groaned.

"I knew something was off by her voice and she always calls me Alex.." we all look at him strangely, "Who's this Jane..", "She's my cousin.." we all nodded as I went to go help Jay up.

Jay POV

"How long have you been dead for?", "5 years.." He looked at me, "I know a person who can help you. He helped us." If he is talking about William, then I am in a deep dish pizza hole.

"Alex can you go and see if you can find him?" asked Luke, "Will do." I began to panic as I saw him poof away. If Willie knew I told them, he wouldn't tell Caleb, but Caleb would find out since he can only tell the truth and not lie even if he could try.

"So while we wait for Alex to come back, mind telling us how you actually died..we'll for the girls sake." I gulped and breathed out, "The song I sang in class was close to what had actually happened."

I looked over and saw there was a piano. "May I try and play?" They nodded and all gathered by. "Okay.." I breathed out and began to play.

Summer Of 2015

It was the summer of 2015, on Fourth of July
Summertime, and the livin' was lifeless
Thoughts weren't loving
and the books aren't like a fantasy

On the trip to see liberty
My father took a bat and

I wish all my thoughts of Brooklyn
would be erased just like my life when I came to Hollywood

But that night, he took his gun and when the first firework went in the sky,
that is when he took his first shot and
I should've moved but instead I end up flying high in the sky

So the Summer of 2015 on Fourth of July drifting away,
Yeah the summer of 2015

I drifted into the sky and came back a moment later when mother told me and thought of me

Saying 'Jay, your father went to jail and you're near the Statue of Liberty. Please come back to me..

I began to cry inside as it aches my heart every second when I think of how I died. Alex poofed back with Willie as I stood in silence. "Jay..." he said as Alex looked at him, "wait you know Jay Greene.."

William POV

"Yahoo!" I skated downhill in Chinatown, going through people. I was so happy until I saw Caleb at the end of the Hill. "What does he want.." I mumbled and stopped and looked at him, "I thought you told you to keep an eye on Jayden.."

"I did. He is with the band currently.." he rolled his eyes, "Good. Well if he spills anything about me to them, he has a one way ticket to singing for me for life." I nodded as he disappeared as I bit my lower lip.

My sight then became black, "Guess who?" I laughed and knew who it was. "Is it..hmm hotdog.." I heard him chuckle, "funny skates.." I turned and saw him, "what's up?" I said as he looked at me, "We have a friend who got tricked by Caleb and has the same tattoo issue me and the guys had. He needs help."

"Then why are we standing around, let me go meet him." Alex poofed us back as there I stood in silence along with Jayden. "Jay..." I said as Alex looked at me, "wait you know Jay Greene.."

He was trying to give me a signal and not tell them that I knew him but when I lie all I say is the truth. "Yes I know him. Caleb wanted me to help him to get in touch with you guys so he can take you guys back and perform until midnight each day. I am sorry but I can only say what I think may be helpful. But his gift is stronger than yours all combined."

I sighed and explained to them that Jayden song lyrics are stories that are real, if he makes one up it will come true. "So your saying whenever he sings whatever he says comes to life.." I nodded, "How can we stop it from becoming real?" asked Julie, "He has to trust you. And he hasn't trusted anyone since 2015..he knows when he is able to trust, but I don't. Even if it seems like he wants to trust you, his heart deines it and stops him from saying the three words and your name."
