Ghostly Lies

Part 3, Episode 1: Avoiding Hotdogs

Alex POV

"Keep dreaming like we'll live forever, but live it like it's now or never." I shake my head, and sing the last line with the boys. "It's now or never.."

I faded out the playing of drums and looked at my surroundings. I was back before we ate the hotdogs. Did I just time travel back? I have all my memories but I was a Lifer not a ghost. "Thank you! We're Sunset Curve."

Reggie said as he unplugged his bass along with Lukes' guitar. "Wait until tonight, man, when this place is packed with record execs." Reggie looked at me and walked up to me, "Alex you were smoking."

I didn't know what to say and I just repeated my words. "Oh no. I was just warming up. You guys were the ones on fire.", "Could you just own your awesomeness for once?"

Reggie always wanted me to admit that I was special in a way, I accepted most days, "Alright, I was killing it!" Luke and Reggie chuckled at my response.

"Ok, well, I was thinking we fuel up before the show. I'm thinking about getting street dogs." Luke suggested, "Ooh Yes!" Reggie said as my eyes widened, "Oh I was actually thinking we could get food here.."

I responded as they looked at me strange. "Since when do you deny a hot dog Alex.." I was about to ramble and then I remembered Bobby's excuse. "I'm vegetarian. I could never hurt an animal."

They looked at me weird still, "I am also what Alex said..", "Sure you are Bobby.." I said as I knew he was lying. "You guys are really good." Rose started, she did look like Julie though. "Why thank you." Luke stated.

"I see a lot of bands." Rose said, "Been in a couple myself. And I was really feeling it.", "That's what we do this for. I'm Luke by the way." Luke responded, "And that's Reggie the bass guy, Alex the drummer and the other guitarist is Bobby.."

"Nice meeting you guys, I am Rose." Rose started, I turn and see Luke give Bobby a wet willy, I laugh along with Reggie. "Oh, uh, here's our demo." Reggie gave her the CD, "And a T-Shirt. Size is beautiful."

She thanked us as I asked her, "Is it possible we can eat here?" She raised a brow, "It's mainly candy and popcorn.." that works for me, "That sounds better than hotdogs.." I admitted as the guys shrugged.

"We did eat hotdogs the last few nights..why not eat something sweet or salty..plus the hotdogs will be there tomorrow they have never killed anyone yet."

Don't speak to soon Reggie, we did in the future and I don't want to die again for a third time. Wait...I forgot about Willie! I had my hands on my head trying to think where Willie is.

"Dude what's the date?" I asked them as Rose looked at me strange. "June 23rd.." ten days in counting until Willie dies by a skateboard accident. "Thanks Rose..", "You good dude? Something on your mind?" I couldn't tell them what I knew.

"Just trying to see when I can talk to J-", "Jane?" I nodded, "Why don't you invite her tonight we have like 7 extra VIP tickets. My parents aren't coming, we know that for a fact. Reggie parents won't wanna see each other and your parents will just argue and yell at you and ruin the show."

I look at him, "invite them.." I said, I know it's a risk but I remember when Julie gave Luke's parents his song about his mom and they had sort of accepted him.

"What? No! Didn't you just hear my words about our parents? My parents aren't coming, Reggie's parents won't wanna see each other and your parents will just argue and yell at you." I sighed.

"I heard you two times Luke, but trust me, that song Said Emily, I have a feeling your mom is gonna love it and see how amazing her son is. And Reggie, your parents will love to hear your Bass solo and even though they hate each other they will never stop loving you. And my parents just have to accept the fact that I am Gay, and I am proud to say that."

They looked at me strangely, "Maybe not getting that streetdog has done something to clear your thoughts and speak wisdom" I smiled at Luke Comment, "I think it has.." I laugh, "So you really want to do this and invite our parents?" Reggie looked at me by Luke's words, "Yeah. If it fails, then I'll pay for the next round of Philips' Cones." They laughed, "alright let's bet on it.."

Reggie said as he put his hand out and Luke placed his on top. I placed my after his but when it came to Bobbys' he wasn't there. "Where's Bobby?" Luke said as I shrugged, now I am curious where he is. "What are we!"

Yelled Luke, "Sunset Curve!" We all yelled, "and tell your friends!" Added Reggie as Luke gave him an arm punch. "Well let's eat and hit the streets to go tell.." I said as we headed to where they kept the Candy and popcorn.
