across the ballroom the rest of the friends were intently watching the couple on the dance floor. each one of them had a knowing smile on his face as they winked and nudged each other. chaeyoung on the other hand had an astounded look on her face as she witnessed the couple kiss for the first time. without thinking she started making her way towards the dance floor intent on saving her friend.
jaehyun fortunately grabbed his wife by the arm before she could get any farther. "where are you going chae?" jaehyun asked his wife.
"they kissed!" chaeyoung whispered urgently.
"and?" jaehyun asked as he raised his eyebrows. he couldn't understand why chaeyoung was so fired up with the thought of jennie and taeyong kissing.
"i have to save her." chaeyoung pressed.
"from what chae? from kissing her fiancé? i don't see anything wrong?" jaehyun countered. "i smell love in the air." ten commented with a smirk while yuta smiled in agreement.
chaeyoung looked at the guys in horror. have they figured out that jennie is in love with taeyong? her best friend would never live this down. she had tried so hard to cover up her feelings for years.
"do you think taeyong is finally aware of it?" ten asked curiously at yuta. chaeyoung's heart dropped in fear. taeyong knows?
"aware of what?" chaeyoung asked as she gazed at ten and yuta.
"that he's totally in love with that innocent best friend of his." yuta answered her with a smile. he then turned towards ten. "i don't think so yet."
"taeyong is in love with jennie?" chaeyoung asked in amazement.
yuta nodded in agreement. "he's been in love with her for quite some time now."
"but taeyong is a playboy!" chaeyoung argued. she had wanted so much to believe that the guys were right about this but given taeyong's reputation with women she found yuta's suggestion highly unlikely.
"i'm sure playboys are also capable of finding love. it will just take time for them to realize it." yuta replied.
"so, you're saying that taeyong loves jennie but he does not know it yet." jaehyun asked.
yuta nodded in response.
"but he already kissed her. i'm sure he's realized it by now." ten countered.
"i'm sure taeyong's feelings are all jumbled up by now but i'm sure that he hasn't yet been able to put a label on whatever it is he's feeling." yuta explained.
