I got up in the morning trying to picture out how my day was going to end this time. Last night, I received a text from my friend Timothy reminding me about his upcoming 16th birthday celebration that I shouldn't miss. Tim's family was incredibly rich and I only became friends with him when I saved his life once before he was completely drowned in the water.

I know this day is not gonna end as peaceful as it is always. Considering how extravagant tim's yearly birthday celebration was, this year surely won't be any different but I know that I have to come. No one would want their friend to feel bad about them on their birthday right?

I came to school and without knowing; I found myself looking for her and even felt relieved when I saw her seated on her chair while browsing a phone. I shook my head. I can't believe I'm being like this.

"Migo, I'm expecting for you tonight." I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned my head only to see tim raising his eyebrows and smiling to me like an annoying idiot.

Tim is a total opposite of my character and personality. He's friendly and a happy go lucky type of person. And knowing his personality, I wouldn't be surprised if he starts teasing me now nor question me for observing how I'm slightly changing for the past weeks. He just knew me well.

I cleared my throat and didn't mind him.

Like the usual after the class was dismissed, I am slowly walking after her. Seemingly, it became my habit to see her off before going home. Because of this, I already had in my mind how her driver looks like or even their car. Funny! But right now, I can no longer deny my interest towards her. I don't want her to remain a puzzle to me but I also don't have the guts to talk to her. Maybe, I'm afraid she'll ignore me. Knowing myself, I wouldn't want to feel embarrassed that way. Never!

I continue walking after her but automatically stopped when I saw that it wasn't the same driver that fetches her every day. This guy here looks pretty intimidating; he has that strong aura that would make you feel like going against him is a big mistake.

"Who is he?" I asked myself.

For sure he wasn't just an ordinary driver. His eyes would tell you how inferior you are when compared to him and his clothes obviously were branded not to mention his gold plated watch and ring.

Strangely, I don't feel comfortable with this guy. He's leaning on the car while looking straight at her, haliyah. I kept my eyes on them especially when I saw a little bit hesitation in her. Is it only me or she's trembling?

Every day after class that I'm following her, she never turned her head to look back so I was a bit taken a back when she stopped walking and turn her head just to see me behind her. But instead of feeling shy for getting caught, I felt like this is the time to take one step in solving the puzzle. She looked into my eyes as if asking me for help in which I totally don't understand. However one thing is for sure, her eyes that were always filled with sadness and longing suddenly turned into eyes filled with fear and helplessness.

I took a step forward but before I even take a second step. The guy yelled.

"Haliyah! Come on, get in the car. What are you still waiting for? Mom prepared something for us, dad is coming tonight!" He pulled her inside the car and before they left, I even saw a tear that escaped from her eyes.

In that moment, I knew something isn't right and it drives me crazy to know how I'm going to deal with all these again when I'm in bed to sleep.
