'Mavis Vermillion-san,
I want to thank you for helping me get away from fairy tail and thank you for removing my guild mark; I can now move on without thinking about that place ever again.
I apologize for saying that about your guild but that it simply how I feel.'
Mavis looked up from the letter only to see the guild partying just as hard as they always have, without a care in the world, and crumpled the letter a bit.
'If you wouldn't mind, could you tell the guild that Lucy Heartfilia is gone and will never be a nuisance to them again?'
Before continuing to read, she folded the letter neatly and walked towards the guilds bar. With everyone being too busy partying, no one noticed her stand up on the counter where Mira was serving barrels of booze to everyone.
Disappointment visible in her eyes, Mavis cleared her throat as loud as possible. However, only a couple people near her noticed her clear her throat (because of how loud the guild was) and thankfully, Makarov was one of those people; he realizd Mavis was trying to tell the guild something, something very important most likely, and shut everyone up.
"Listen up brats," he yelled with a bottle of beer, "shut the hell up, First Master has something to say!"
"What is it?" Natsu, the most eager to go back to partying asked. Sighing again, Mavis looked at the neatly folded letter again. "Have any of you noticed something?" She eyed all of them who had confused looks on their faces and her disappointment grew.
"Our dear nakama, Lucy," she looked at the majority of guilds face scrunch up in disgust. "Has left the guild forever. And she asked me to tell you that she, Lucy Heartfilia, will never be a nuisance again and will never bother Fairy tail again." Their faces were full of different emotions. The look of disgust and guilt scrunched up their faces and turned the previously happy mood in the guild sour.
All except Team Natsu whose faces were filled with confusion.
The guildmaster bit the inside of her mouth abd turned away with a 'tch'. Did they really not remember who Lucy was after all they did to her. Oh how far her wonderful guild has fallen.
(In the back of the room, where said Team Natsu was, all if them were confused. "Lucy Heartfilia? Did we have someone named that in our guild?" Natsu asked their small group. Erza, looking just as perplexed as the others said, "I don't think so--I don't remember anyone like that." Gray took another look around the hall and noticed the expressions everyone had on. "Look at everyone's reactions, was she someone that did something bad to our guild; they look like they hate her."
"They did look disgusted but now they look more conflicted, maybe even a little sad." Erza added.
It was strange, none of them seemed to remember this 'Lucy Heartfilia' even though everyobe else did.
"Was she someone who joined recently while we were on a mission?"
"That can't be it, their reactions seem to say that they've known her for a while.")
Mavis jumped down from the table she was on and vanished from their sight, leaving a sour mood in the guild.
(While everyone was contemplating what they just heard, no one noticed a figure standing in the back, a small, smile gracing their lips before they turned around and walked away.)
They deserve to feel hurt by this.
After she left the eyes of everyone, she picked up the letter again and read the last bit of it.
'If there is any way I could repay you for the kindness you've shown me, please let me know at any time and I will do my best to help.'
The fact that Lucy wrote that made Mavis even angrier--she was thanking her for something that was partly her fault to begin with. She would definitely not call on her unless absolutely necessary and even then, Mavis was sure she'd be hesitant to bring Lucy back here, after everything her guild did to her. With these thoughts, Mavis read the last words of the letter.
'Sincerely,
Lucy Heartfilia a̶ ̶F̶a̶i̶r̶y̶ ̶T̶a̶i̶l̶ ̶w̶i̶z̶a̶r̶d̶'
