Sophie's POV

At the end of finals I was feeling so relieved that it was finally over we graduated both at 21 and we where officially RNs Registered Nurses so John got a Job at the local hospital and had been working for 2 weeks I decided to start after the baby came and John was ok with that because we had a lot of money saved up so we could do that

Paulette was getting everything ready for the baby shower next week and she wouldn't let me see any of the decorations because she wanted it to be a surprise so I just stayed home with John

Today I woke up had a nice breakfast and John came up to me and said "Sophie I have a surprise for you because we graduated and I think you're going to love it" I look at him confused but excited and say "so what is it? Is it for the baby or me?"
He laughs and says "its for us silly"
He suddenly pulls out 2 plain tickets to go away to Puerto Rico for a week" I just screamed and said "I've always wanted to go I'm so excited baby" I suddenly kiss him passionately and we start making out until he feels my big stomach moving he kneels down kisses my belly and says "don't worry I'll take you to Puerto Rico some day too" and I just laugh

The next day we got to Puerto Rico
And the island was beautiful we stayed in a beautiful hotel when we got there I'm just gonna say we had a lot of fun even tho I basically have a watermelon strapped to my stomach
We had a wonderful we would stay up t look at the starts and just walk around but I could barely walk around with my big belly

The day before we had to go back we decided to go for a walk to a beautiful rainforest they told us about to see the  river so we go walking and find the river we swim in it and on the way back I start feeling a contraction but I just think it's practice contractions so I try not to worry but John asked because he saw the look on my face "Sophie are you OK??" I smile and say "yeah I'm fine they're just practice contractions this little girl is due in a week" he sighed in relief and said "ok we don't want her to be born in a rain Forest"

The next day we got on the plane back home and I started feeling another contraction I look at John and say these contractions are driving me crazy" he gives me a worried look and says " are you sure ok?" I sigh and say  "yes baby I'm ok stop worrying so much" I giggled he holds my hand and comments "remember Paulette is throwing you a baby shower tomorrow" I smile and say "oh yeah I'm so excited Paulette is so creative I can't wait"

The flight back was ok I just slept on Johns shoulder the whole way back in the morning I got ready for the party and I got a strong contraction but I didn't tell John because I thought it was another practice contraction I've been having it for days so I brushed it off at the party I got 2 more contractions but didn't wanna say anything because I wasn't sure I sat down at a chair and I didn't wanna get up because I wasn't feeling well then John noticed and said "Sophie what's wrong you don't look ok" and I fake laugh and say "its ok I'm just tired" and at that moment another strong contraction hits me and I just squeeze Johns had and try not to scream in pain

John suddenly says "you're in labor!"
I just say "umm maybe I'm not sure ok'' John says "you do know we are both RNs and you are clearly in pain Sophie we should got to the hospital"
I refused and said" Paulette and my mom put some much work into this party and I don't even know if it's real labor yet let's time them and then I'll decide" John didn't like the idea but agreed anyways the rest of the party he followed me around like a tail and I did feel a bit of pain but mostly hid it

right before we cut the cake Paulette took me to the baby's room to show me a surprise she got her and we went up there and she got her the most beautiful little horse she could play with and I wanted to cry and in that second I felt a warm liquid running down my leg I looked at Paulette and say "get John now!!!"
