19th December

"Abi, you have to come to Ibiza with us!" Freya pleaded, trailing after Abi into her flat.

"For New Year's!" Talia added, her voice full of excitement. The two of them had spent the entire day badgering Abi about this trip.

Abi groaned and dropped onto the sofa, tossing her bag onto the floor. "What? Why? Give me one good reason."

"Because right now, it's just me and Talia, and we need one more girl!" Freya plopped down beside her, nudging Abi with her elbow.

"Exactly!" Talia said, hopping up onto the kitchen table, swinging her legs. "Otherwise, we'll be completely outnumbered by lads. We need a third girl to keep them in check."

"Come on, Abi," Freya tapped her knee. "It'll be fun!"

Abi sighed. "I don't even know anyone apart from Tobi. And your boyfriends— I don't really know them, not properly."

"The boys are paying," Freya pointed out, pressing her hands together in a mock prayer. "So no worries about money. And they're hilarious! Please!"

"Please!" they both begged in unison, dropping to their knees on the floor dramatically, hands clasped together like they were in some tragic play.

Abi considered it. It couldn't be that bad, and she did need a holiday. But, more importantly, if she agreed, these two would finally shut up.

"Fine," she muttered.

"Sorry, what was that?" Talia cupped a hand around her ear.

"I said I'll go!" Abi yelled, rolling her eyes.

The reaction was instant. Freya and Talia jumped up, squealing, pulling Abi into a tight hug before breaking into a little victory dance.

"There better be drinking," Abi warned, narrowing her eyes.

"If Ethan, Freezy, and Harry have anything to do with it, trust me—there will be," Freya grinned.

Abi wasn't so sure. She'd never met most of these guys before, and the idea of spending days with near-strangers made her anxious. Plus, the fact that they were paying left her feeling a little guilty. But it was too late now—she was in.

27th December

"They're over there," Talia pointed toward a group of lads lounging in the airport seating area.

"Good spot!" Freya giggled, dragging Abi toward them.

Tobi noticed them first, standing up with a grin. "Abi, hi!"

"Has Tobi finally found someone?" Lux teased, smirking.

"What—no!" Tobi laughed. "This is Abi, my sister's friend from college."

"Well, this is JJ, Lux, Ethan, Vik, Simon, and Josh—who you know already. And where the hell are Freezy and Harry?" Talia scanned the terminal.

"Getting a drink, obviously," Ethan laughed, his belly shaking with amusement.

"Of course they are." Talia sighed. "They better hurry up, or they're going to miss the flight."

"Not a problem," Lux said smugly, holding up two boarding passes in a fan shape. "We were just debating whether or not to pretend we lost their tickets. Tobi, Simon, and Vik think it's cruel. Ethan's on the fence. And the rest of us think it's genius."

"That's horrible!" Freya gasped before breaking into a mischievous grin. "Let's do it."

"Freya! No, you can't!" Talia scolded, but Abi couldn't help but laugh. They had both immediately taken their boyfriends' sides.
