"AGAIN" Solar said rolling her eyes "you need to focus, Wheein-ah" Wheein was exhausted, she had been practicing without rest for the past week and she was sure she had it memorized by then but Yongsun seemed to disagree "I gave you two more weeks than we were planned. Jungkook's engagement party was our priority back then but now the priority is your debut. And you know the lyrics and the routine, but the performance still feels dead, like you're not pouring your heart on it" Yongsun took a deep breath and closed her eyes "I know I'm being harsh on you lately but I just want your performance to be here" Yongsun had her hand up, as high as she could "but right now, it's here" she lowered it until it was aligned with her waist "So, do it again. Just one more time, I want to feel your emotions" Wheein sighed, she was so tired she couldn't even reply. She just nodded and walked to the center of the stage just as the song started and she began practicing again.
"She needs to rest," Jin said, walking towards Solar with two coffees on his hands and giving one to her "she's tired and stressed" Yongsun looked at Wheein and smiled "I genuinely just want her to be proud of herself. She has so much talent, more than anyone I've ever met" Jin smiled "I know someone better" Yongsun turned to him and her cheeks turned pink when he winked "Remember when you were going to audition for that theater show back in Gwacheon?" she nodded taking a sip from her coffee "You spent all day in the studio rehearsing because you couldn't hit that high note while you take those complicated moves. You were so frustrated and you started crying" she pouted at him "it was complicated" he nodded with a small smile that made his lips look fuller "It really was. But that day I took you out of the studio and we went on a weekend trip" "To Jeju island to see the waterfalls. It was a great trip" Jin caressed her cheek "It was. But my point is, on that trip you forgot about the high note and the steps until we were back on the hotel and we were goofing and playing around and you just did it. Without thinking. Wheein needs to forget about the debut for at least a couple of hours" Solar leaned into Jin's hand and closed her eyes "I could use a rest, too. Are you busy tonight?" Jin lifted an eyebrow "I think I just got a date" he said but Solar looked at him seriously and he laughed "a friendly one" he replied making her giggle.
"Wheein-ah, take the rest of the day... and tomorrow too so you can rest and relax. I'll see you on thursday" she said, grabbing Jin's hand and walking towards the door not giving time for Wheein to reply.
"You gave her two days? I'm surprised" Jin said teasingly "where are we going?" he asked, not complaining, just curious. Yongsun stopped walking and turned around so she was facing him "what do you say if we go to the waterfalls again? I can't on the weekend but I could go today, we can be back here tomorrow night" Jin was really surprised now, he knew Solar was trying to be more impulsive and to spent more time with him but this was not expected "You know what?, forget it, it was stupid and.." she started when he didn't replied "I can be ready in 20 minutes" he said interrupting her "I just have to pack some things and I can call Yoongi from the car to tell him I'll be gone" Solar smiled relieved "are you sure?" she asked with hopeful eyes that made Jin feel something weird on his stomach "I am" he replied softly and then he scratched his head "I actually don't want to part ways now, can we go together to get our things? Even when we're going to take a little longer?" she smiled and shrugged her shoulders "let's go to your place now then".
Jin was feeling hopeful.
He wasn't sure if he should, but he thought it would be worse if he didn't try.
