Intro

Its been 2 weeks since the beginning of May and the end of the first special exam along with my perfect score in math, golden week also went by in a flash.

Although its been a while since the start of the year, the student sent by the white room seems to be laying low and hasn't done anything yet. Not like I'm complaining though, the more peaceful my life, the better. But how long will this last?

The stares and rumors have seemed to die down from the test results thanks to Horikita, Hirata, and Kei's quick thinking, but there were definitely still people talking about it in private conversations.

"My peaceful school life is coming to an end huh?"

"Well atleast now you can start to openly help me get to class A"

My sulking was cut off by a sharp, yet familiar voice

"How long have you been there?"

"Just got here, quit your whining and let's go"

Horikita and I decided to meet at the dorm lobby to go to school together. The plan was to talk about the arranged meeting with the student council president, Nagumo Miyabi.

Although I didn't need to be there, we decided it was best for me to tag along to gather some information during their conversation, as well as to confirm that she got into the student council.

The walk to school was covered with familiar and akward silence accompanied by a few talks on how things were on our side. This was what most of our conversations were based on since the beginning of our first year, and at this point we were both used to it.

"Thanks again for your quick-witted speech by the way. Now I don't have as many suspicious gazes and rumors about me as there would have been had you not intervened."

"It was just for the classes best interest. You would have been hated if I didn't do anything, and you will be a valuable asset for the future. Besides, now you owe me one."

"Guess I do."

Horikita took a glance at my left hand

"Is your hand okay?"

"Yeah, it's healing slowly, but it's fine, I'm not left handed anyway."

"You didn't even look fazed at all with that knife stuck in your hand."

"Really? I was probably just so shocked I couldn't process it."

After letting out a pretty half-hearted excuse, I could feel a doubtful gaze on me, but decided to ignore it. She would have denied any excuse I tried to make anyways.

"Have any first years made contact with you after that or was the 20 million point bounty just a lie?"

"While there haven't been any of them approaching me, I believe that the bounty exists. No one would do something as brave as pulling out a knife otherwise, regardless of who they were."

"That's true I suppose... Who do you think could be behind it?"

"Well it would have to be someone who possesses a lot of points and is trusted by the first years."

Although I didn't explicitly say it, that should have given Horikita enough hints to guess my train of thought.

"You think it's the student council?"

"Well I can't deny the possibility, but there is also a chance that that won't be the case."

"It could have something to do with the attention my brother seemed to give you before he graduated."
