Part 3

Despite the mention of an upcoming special exam yesterday, the class was filled with a calm, but serious attitude, completely different from last year.

A side-by-side comparison on class D this year and the one from last year would make it very apparent just how much they've grown, not only as individuals, but as a group.

"Okay, let's begin the meeting."

Horikita's voice filled the class as she stood on the teacher's podium. It was now after classes and we had decided to hold a meeting.

In contrast to the prideful and haughty Horikita from last year, this one was willingly helping and paying attention to each student's needs and skills. Her growth has made her far more suited for being someone to lead the class and has become someone indispensable if we wanted to reach class A.

"As I told you yesterday, I will be putting you all into teams based on your preferences and scores from the OAA app, this way we'll be able to find people who can help you with your weaknesses and people you can trust."

After giving an explanation and instructions as to how the meeting would progress, Horikita, with the assistance of Yosuke began calling the names of each student. Naturally, no one objected as the leaders of the class did their job.

Students were getting called one by one and were giving out the names of people they were close with. The Ayanokouji Group, being made up of loners, naturally drew to each other having no one else they were particularly close to. While Kushida and Yosuke had their name's mentioned almost everytime with their respective opposite gender's.

The only student not present in the class was Koenji as he left right after the bell rang. Due to the long period for preparation, Horikita probably guessed that it would only be a waste of energy trying to get him to cooperate, so she let him be. Another reason for her lack of attention towards him would also most likely have to do with the fact that he will eventually have to partner up with someone whether he cooperates right now or not.

The process of students being called by Yosuke and Horikita jotting notes down repeated for a good 5 minutes. They were only about half way through when a sudden knock on the door interupted.

"Hello! Can I borrow Ayanokouji-kun for a bit please?"

It was the voice of a familiar 3rd year, Asahina Nazuna.

"As you can see senpai, we're in the middle of a meeting right now, please come back later."

Blunt words came from Horikita, which caused Asahina to sigh. She had an honest and laid back personality, it's not surprising that she wouldn't get mad, but what caught my attention was the fact that she didn't back away.

"Sorry it'll just be for a moment, I promise I'll bring him back."

After hearing this, the class's eyes turned to me, some jealous stares came from the boys and a couple from the girls, this was also accompanied by some concerned gazes from the Ayanokouji Group.

"Is it really important enough to be interupting us right now?"

"It's the student council president, he wants to have a chat with Ayanokouji-kun."

The expression on everyone's faces suddenly changed to that of shock, they were sending gazes that seemed to say
'Is he in trouble?' Or
'What would the student council want from him?'
However, I ignored these stares and focused only on a Horikita who had a raised eyebrow.

She would know the best that Nagumo, who had been focused on her brother, was taking quite the interest in me, so she was probably asking for my opinion on the matter.
