Intro

We were now entering the middle of June, and no new special exam has been announced since the last one in April. My life this passed month has been relatively peaceful, excluding the constant tailing from 3rd years sent by Nagumo towards the second half of May.

Summer is now just around the corner, and I've realized that it's been getting hotter day by day.

On my way to school, I look up at the clear sky and think about the few troubles I've had since the first exam in April. Students were now aware of the fact that I was holding back in the first year, but just weren't sure how much. Thanks to Horikita however, people became more aware of her than me.

They were under the impression that it was her plan to make me hold back after all, so I atleast have less people taking notice of me.

As I was slowly walking to school, I heard a voice call out to me.

"Ah, Ayanokouji-senpai good morning!"

It was a first year involved with a plot to expel me during the special exam in April, Nanase Tsubasa.

"Oh, hey there."

I casually greeted her as she caught up to me. I didn't sense her presence since I was lost in my thought, so I was a little surprised.

"It's quite a nice day today isn't it?"

"Yeah, by the way, I haven't seen you for about a month and a half now"

Despite the fact that she was part of the reason I was stabbed, she didn't seem all that fazed in approaching and conversing with me.

"Do you hate me senpai?"

She was staring off into the sky while asking such a question.

"I don't really have a reason to hate you, it was part of a special exam after all. Is it over by the way? Or is there no deadline?"

"No, it's still going on, the deadline for expelling you is the beginning of next semester."

Although I had somewhat guessed this, I wasn't 100% sure as it now raises the question on why no one has tried to approach me yet.

"I bet you're wondering why we haven't tried anything yet aren't you?"

"I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't"

"Well that's because when I saw what happened last time, I became convinced that it's not going to be easy to expel you, so any plan that's not very good probably wouldn't do us any favors, especially now that you know."

"So will you just wait for other students to make their move for now?"

"Well, it seems like they somehow discovered that Housen-kun already made a move and failed. So they're probably thinking that bringing you down won't be that easy."

It seems that Housen was someone who attracted quite a bit of attention from the 1st years, so him failing, for better or for worse, has made the others more cautious about their attempts.

I still don't know who could be behind the special exam, but I have a few guesses. I could try asking Nanase here, but she probably wouldn't tell me anything.

"It looks like you guys are getting used to the school now."

"Yeah, although we don't have a perfect grasp of it, it's getting easier to understand."

I had another question on my mind, so I decided to ask her.

"How's Hosen by the way, is he still causing trouble?"

"It seems like you're his primary target right now Ayanokouji-senpai."

As I thought, he is the type of guy to go after the things he failed at over and over again.

"Well, we should be able to face off soon enough."

As long as Nagumo was still president, there would be more interactions against all school years.

"I guess so, well then, I have to go now, see ya."

Just arriving at the school, she bowed an left.

I walked into the class to see the usual shenanigans play out, this consisted of Sūdo hanging around Horikta, a group of girls surrounding Yosuke and Kei, and Ike arguing with Shinohara.

Over the past month, the class seems to have gotten used to the idea that I was a lot more than they thought, and if anyone I knew had some trouble, they would go to me. This includes members of the Ayanokouji Group who were near me, and occasionally Sūdo when he saw that Horikita was busy.

As I walked over to my desk, I saw Yosuke give a wave along with a quick glance from Kei, which I nodded to in return. My relationship with Kei is still very much a secret, but I have a feeling that that is going to change very soon, especially with Nagumo giving me a lot of secret attention.

Last year, our second special exam, the Deserted Island Special Exam took place at around this time, so I have a feeling that there will be another special exam soon.
