~Felix's POV~
Today was the day I finally defeat that Pink Samurai Ranger so I woke up early to go to the lab for my Symbol Power training. It was about the same results as last time. "What is it gonna take?" My hand lightly gripped the brush getting ready to do the same strokes I've always been doing. The kanji book was in my hand to look at the line orders then I let my hand guide across the canvas. When I was done there was still no reaction to create a simple gust of wind. I'm about to give up.
I took a seat at my chair at the electronic round table with my hand crossed over my chest & my leaning back as well. When I was throwing out random Symbol Powers with the Samuraizer it made things way easier. Why is this any different on a piece of paper? There's something I have to missing, a key element mastering the key elements. "This is next to impossible..." I sighed before getting off my ass to heading towards the garage, but I actually ended up bumping into Luna as I was just exiting.
"Hey, I thought I'd catch you here. What're you doing here so early?" Luna peaked into the lab to see a bunch books, scrolls, ink, brushes, & paper. There were too many attempts to count. I walked back into the lab with her. "Training, I gotchu. How's that going?" My body hung low to show her how exhausting all of this kanji writing is then I cleaned half of my mess that were on the floor. "I've tried everything, nothing is working. I'm gonna commit not a live." I said in a joking way, of course, causing Luna to giggle a bit. She walked in front of my canvas to see my work & cringed hard.
"Is your training kanji writing? This is a disgrace to my culture Felix. You seriously are so bad at this that all these pages need to be burnt immediately." Luna took several of those pages to crumple it up, she starts throwing every single crumpled up paper ball at me. I didn't think she would get offended by my writing. I forgot she was Japanese. "What's wrong with it? The book says what the stroke order is & how it's supposed to look like." Luna facepalmed then lobbed another paper ball at my face, I just let it him. It was bound to happen.
"The problem is that there's no passion in any of these writing. It's too perfect, you're also not reading the context in the pages. What it means to be the element of air." I blinked. There's no way Luna could've learned this Ranger's archives so quickly, right? I mean, this is Luna we're talking about. The smart girl that's supposed to know everything. "How the fuck do you know that?" Luna rolled her eyes at me before going back to read the book in her hands with such interest. Wish that could be me.
"My mom forced me to learn kanji symbols. I learned a lot of them, but the funny thing is that I actually loved learning what they all meant. She would take me to different places. We would have the same exact setup you have right now. It would teach me what one kanji symbol meant like love, war, or even the 4 core elements of the earth."
"How should I do this then? Since you're such an expert on this." I didn't want to admit, but I'm really asking Luna, who is the least knowledgeable about anything Power Rangers, to help me with my Symbol Power training. Who knew? My arms were crossed over my chest. "It says here you have to be one with your element if you want it to work. Go to Haleakalā & bring all your stuff with you. Feel the breeze, connect with it, listen." I'm actually starting to understand what my solo mission is trying to tell me thank to Luna. It made things easier.
"Can you come with me? I'm gonna need all the help I could get. With you there you could tell me what I'm doing wrong." I asked while I started packing up my things that I needed for this journey. Hopefully, I could get this done quickly so I can work on my secret project for this upcoming battle. "I would, but I have to meet up with Myles at the library in a few hours." Oh yeah, I almost forgot about everything last night. After spending time with my mom last night it felt like there nothing wrong. I had to stop what I was doing to look at her.
