(Aviva's view)

The next morning I woke to find my father asleep in the chair next to my bed with the cat in his lap.

I quickly and quietly got out of bed then draped a blanket over him before grabbing my clothes and making my way to the bathroom.

"Good morning," I turned to see Avian coming out of the bathroom wearing a black shirt with a matching jacket and combat boots.

"Morning, Avian." I greeted, and he smiled warmly at me.

"Did you sleep alright?" he asked, and I shook my head.

"No," I said, and his eyebrows furrowed in concern.

"Why not?" he asked, as he took my hand.

"I think the guys we fought followed me home." I said, and his eyes widened in horror.

"What?!" he exclaimed, as he glanced around in terror.
