Who the hell does that fucker think he is. Telling me to stay away from people. Like he has any right to do that.

The only reason I'm even going to his stupid party is because everyone in the pack has to attend. It's not like I care about who his mate is or that he's gonna be our new alpha. Stupid wolf.

As I'm walking to my last class of the day I see Jon talking to Noah which makes me smile. It would be nice if they got along. I walked over to them.

"Hey guys I see you met each other" I said nodding at them both.

"Oh hey Connor you met Noah?" Jon asked me.

"Yeah he was in my math class" I explained.

"Yup and I got rejected" Noah said.

"Rejected?"

"Yup this little guy broke my heart" Noah said putting his hand over his heart just to be dramatic.

"Oh shut up Noah" I said humor clear in my voice. Noah smiled.

"Wow Connor getting all the big boys attentions I see how it is" Jon joked

"Alright aright I'm going to class" I said walking away from the two as they giggled and made fun of me.

The rest of the day went by without any more hiccups.

When i got home I was met with a surprise.

"Dylan!" What the hell are you doing here!" I yelled surprised to see him in my home.

"Connor Haile language!" My mother yelled.

"It's alright Mrs. Haile I probably just surprised him" Dylan told my mother. "And to answer your question I'm here because I am personally inviting you and your family to the party after the ceremony"

"Oh my really?" My mother said most definitely falling for his good boy act. The only reason he did that was to make sure I came and didn't skip. "Well of course we will be there. Right Connor?" She looked at me with her mother eyes saying you better say yes or else I'll ground u until u die.

"Mhm of course we'll be there" I said through my gritted teeth.

Dylan's face lit up "good, oh I also wanted to know if you wanted to come over today Connor." He said I saw the glint in his eyes.

"No I'm okay I'm pretty busy today...I mean you know school tomorrow..."

"Oh nonsense honey you aren't busy at all"

"Oh really now" dylan said raising his eyebrow.

"Yeah all he does is sit in his room and talk to Jon while playing video games"

I saw Dylan clench up at the name Jon but sadly my mother didn't seem to notice.

"Oh so how about it then Connor?" He said his voice teetering on the edge of danger.

"Okay then I'll guess I'll come over then"

"Oh goodie have fun dear. Maybe you can help set up for the party?" My mother said. Ugh shut up mom I don't want to help him.

I just nodded my head.

"Let's go" Dylan said wrapping his arm around me. As soon as we stepped out of my mothers hearing range I shoved Dylan off of me.

"What the hell was that Dylan!"

"What? I told you that you were coming over to my house today didn't I?"

"Well yeah but I told you no!"

"And yet here you are" he said draping his arm over my shoulders and leading me to his house. I just grumbled. Not even trying to get out of his grip.

When we arrived at his house I was mortified to find that we were the only ones there.

"Where is everyone?"

"Oh my parents are out on a date right now so we have the whole house to ourselves"

"Oh ok"

"Follow me" he said as he walked towards the stairs.

"No no I'm okay down here you know with the food and the open windows and no extra privacy"

"I wasn't asking" he said not stopping. I had no choice but to follow him.

He stopped at a door which I was guessing was his room.

"Alright what games do u like to play?"

"Huh?"

"What games do you play with Jon"

"Mostly COD and GTA"

"Alright that's what we'll play then"

"Okay?"

He let me in his room and I almost passed out. His room was gigantic. It was probably bigger than my living room and kitchen together.

"What's wrong?"

"Your room is huge!" I said. He laughed.

"Yeah I know so come over here and we'll play"

I walked over hesitantly. Yeah he was being nice-ish right now but you have to remember this guy bullied me since we were kids and the only reason I went over there was because he randomly showed up at my house and practically made me say yes because of my mother. So I didn't exactly want to be there.

He patted the seat next to him.

"Come on sit down I'm not gonna bite" is what he said but his eyes definitely portrayed something else.

"Alright I'm coming..." I went over and sat next to him.

He scooted over closer to me. "Alright I'll put in COD"

"Okay" I said sitting very still while he handed me the remote.

When we first started playing I realized that Dylan was terrible at COD.

"Gosh you are very bad at this James" I said as I paused the game.

"Yeah I know" he said sheepishly

as I looked at the time I realized it was really late.

"Hey I umm think that I should probably go it's getting late umm I'll see you tomorrow I guess"

I was gathering up my stuff when Dylan stopped me.

"Leave? I thought you would stay the night?"

No. Why would I ever want to stay here longer.

"No... I'm just gonna go home sorry, I'll see you Tomorrow"

He looked like he wanted to argue. But then realization came over his face and he backed down.

"Yeah...okay... see you tomorrow"

And I practically ran away from the room. I didn't even notice I left my sweatshirt there until I was outside and got a chill. But I just shrugged it off. I definitely wasn't going back to get it.  When I got home I went straight into my room and went to bed.
