Why You?

Part 8

Dylan's POV

He forgave me. I can't believe it. I looked down at our conjoined hands and my heart fluttered. I now know why I was so possessive my wolf side always knew he was our mate so it naturally made me feel possessive. I had to take him on a date.

I bit my lip.

"Hey Connor can I take you on date this Saturday?"

He looked up at me while walking to his next class.

"Umm.. I guess...so." He said looking away from me.

"Yes! Thanks for agreeing!" I said giving him my biggest smile. He looked so cute I could see a tiny blush spread across his cheeks

"Well I gotta give you some kind of chance to win me over" he gave me a small smile.

"Don't worry I will"

He rolled his eyes but kept his hand in mine.

His class came into view. When we were close to the doorway. I couldn't help myself. I leaned in and kissed his cheek. His face reddened.

"Bye see you later mate!"

He mumbled a goodbye and went into his class. 

I walked to my next class with a pep in my step loving how my lips feel on his skin. I wondered how his lips would feel. I shook my head. No.. stop those thoughts right now. You do not want to pop a boner in the middle of the hallway.

I decided to set my mind on the date.

What would we do what does he like to do? I smile to myself. I know what he likes. I liked the guy forever I know what he likes. I tried to calm myself down but my heart was still beating like crazy thinking of dating him and then mating him and then maybe adopting some kids with him. My heart was still beating really fast thinking about him and my cheeks were a permanent red.

I was so excited for this date.

"Keep your eyes close."

"You just drove me 2 hours blindfolded I don't think I would want to ruin the surprise now" Connor said

I only smiled "don't worry we'll be there soon" with a little chuckle"

"We better" He said his lip pouting out a little it made me look at his lips with the sudden urge to kiss him. I shook it out no not yet.

I took him out to the clearing where I set the date up. Then I reached up and took off his blind fold. He gasped.

"Oh my god Dylan..."

There was a projector, two chairs next to each other and a stack of old movies on the side. With all of his favorite candy and snacks there and then I handed him a chocolate rose because I knew he hated regular flowers because they died after a week.

"This is...this is... how'd you know all of this" he said staring in wonderment at the chocolate rose.

"Connor I have liked you for literally ever. I know almost everything about you"

His mouth dropped open.

"I told you that I was serious about us we're mates now and I'm gonna prove to you that I'm going to love you and treasure you forever. Okay?"

"U-uh y-yeah"

"Good now let's pick out a movie yeah?"

He nodded his head and looked away I swear I saw a faint blush on his face. I took his hand and led him to the movies and started the one he chose.

Once we sat down my heart started pounding again. He was so close to me his sweet scent was all I could smell. I barely paid attention to what was on the screen.

"Are u even watching the movie?" He said looking over at me smirking.

"I-uh I-I  a-am" embarrassed he caught me staring.

"Sure name the last thing that happened"

"Uh the guy uhhhh rode his horse?"

Connor laughed. "See I knew you weren't watching it"

"Yeah you caught me" I said smiling back at him "I just couldn't help it, your really pretty you know that"

He blushed but rolled his eyes "your just saying that because you want me to like you"

"Yeah..." I grab his hand and sparks shoot up our arms "but also because it's true."

I looked up at his face and then his lips. I saw him glance down to my lips as well.

"Can I kiss you?" I ask not taking my eyes off his face.

I saw his mind working behind his eyes. It took him a little while before he slightly nodded his head.

I let go of his hand and touch his face. Then I bring his head closer to mine our breaths merging together.

Then my lips met his and it was better then I ever imagined.

I felt sparks run through my body. His lips molded into mine and no words could describe how I felt right then, in that moment when I finally got to kiss Connor and it wasn't even that long.
 
We broke the kiss.

"that was..." he started

"Amazing? Out of this world?" I said for him.

"Yeah." He said "both of those things"

He sat back into his chair.

"Amazing..." he whispered as he touched his lips.

I smiled at him. Then we went back to the movie holding hands.
