Jungkook glanced at the clock sighing yet again; it was only two.

"Alright, what is it?" the blonde man called from the spot before his computer as he hears the younger sigh for the fourth time, as he was working on getting his equipment ready for the upcoming field trip.

"Sorry hyung, I'm just thinking about Tae. He comes home today remember?"

A mischievous smile grew on Jin's face. "Oh, so you're counting down the time til you get laid."

Bambi eyes widened in shock, a blush spreading on the boys cheeks. "Hyung!"

Jin could only laugh.

Swiveling in his chair, Jungkook swung side to side, not really focusing on the paper's he was supposed to be grading as his mind was on Taehyung. They hadn't spoken in two weeks, both had written faithfully to each other, but the mail was a pain, sometimes never reaching the marine. It didn't help that Taehyung had been sent on one last mission before he was to be sent home. He was within hours of seeing him and he couldn't focus, too worried the plane would be late, worried that they would stall his return.

"I don't suppose you've talked to him about our little upcoming adventure." Jin asked with a raised brow, shaking the boy from his thoughts.

Shaking his head slowly, Jungkook sunk into his chair and played with his fingers. "Think he'll agree to come?" Jungkook mumbled nervously, sending a glace at his hyung.

"There's no way he'd let you go alone. That boys a soldier through and through."

Nodding, Jungkook worried his lower lip, eyes glancing to the picture of the building on his laptop, the stories Jin had shown him swirling through his head.

Taehyung woke suddenly as the plane jolted, blinking, he glanced at the window grinning at the familiar cityscape beneath him.

He was home.

Home.

Where Jungkook was waiting for him.

He was fairly giddy with excitement about it. Strapped in, they prepared for a final decent, the plane landing easily, if a little bumpy, taxing across the run way. He was ordered to stand and make ready to disembark. His duffel over his shoulder, Tae could barely contain himself as he walked off the plane, blinking in the bright sunlight.

Jungkook found him first, gasping as he felt tears clouding his eyes. He had planned for this moment for so long. He would walk over, hug him calmly...but all plans of a calm reunion flew out of his head as he saw a familiar figure wearing fatigues and military issued beret. With a half laugh half sob, Jungkook was running, arms wide. "Tae Tae!" he yelled. The other grinned widely, dropping his bag, he opened his arms, his Kookie jumping into them, holding him tight. "Tae Tae." Jungkook sobbed softly, the soldier feeling the wetness against his neck. Tae smiled softly, own eyes misting over. They stayed that way for long moments until he was pulling away, wiping his eyes, he smiled at the younger, the boy's face puffy and red. "Sorry." Kookie mumbled, suddenly embarrassed, realizing he was acting like some girl out of one of those silly romance novels Taehyung seemed so fond of.

Deep chocolate eyes were drinking in the sight of his lover, real, and in his arms for the first time in so long. He looked the same, bright bunny smile, button nose that adorably scrunched up, he was a little pale and thin but gorgeous in the fading light.

"Let's go home." Tae mumbled, his big, long fingered hand wrapping around Jungkook's, squeezing it tight as they walked slowly to Jungkook's car.

"Home for good?" Jungkook asked tentively.
