If happily ever aftershocks only Existed

The mission

Yellow pearl's POV

I sighed as blue drifted off to sleep on my chest. I was honestly suprised becuase, my gem is yellow it gets hella bright and somehow blue managed to sleep where it was? I have so many questions.

"Blue! Yellow!" I heard the diamonds yell for us.

I shook blue lightly, she was a light sleeper so I didn't feel like shaking the beloved diamonds out of her.

"So you get to sleep but I don't..." she whined softly.

"I would've let you sleep in if the diamonds weren't calling us" I sighed,

"Oh," she said as she uncoupled her bangs so they were in her face agian.

"I wonder what they want..." she slowly got up offering her hand to me.

I grabbed her hand and stood up as we tried to stay a foot apart so the diamonds wound suspect anything.

We arrived where the diamonds were, "pearls..." they started,

"We are going to send you to this planet to check up on things" yellow diamond said.

I froze at the mission but nodded.

"Now get going to the warp" she shooed us away.

We started to walk to the warp pad, "are we sure about this...."

"It'll be ok yellow..." blue reassured me.

I sighed, "I hope"

We walk up onto the warp pad and waited. Suddenly there were lights and then the lights stopped as we arrived at a broken down kindergarten.

"Woah..." I said as we walked off the warp.

"Woah indeed..." she said quietly to the point I almost couldn't hear her.

We started to walk through the kindergarten as we stopped at a two way passage, I didn't want to say this but I kinda had to.

"We'll need to split up.." I sighed, I could tell the diamonds wanted it done quick.

"Oh,"

"Well I'll take the right way, you'll take the left," I ordered.

"Ok," she sighed,

"We'll see you once we're done... Umm, don't die. Please" I said awkwardly, which earned a giggle from blue.

"Ok," she smiled as she placed her hand in my hair messing it up.

She then left me as a flustared mess and went down the left path.

Blue Pearl's POV

I walked down the left path leaving yellow flustered, I looked around as I heard a roar. I had no time to react from me being hit by something and I didn't mean to but the thing and I accedentally fused. I quickly unfused and once I did I realized it was a corrupted gem, I froze seeing it starting to go down Yellow's path, I ran the short way to where yellow was.

I saw that she saw me and looked at me a bit puzzled. I then looked at the corrupted gem running full speed at her. At the perfect time I ran and pushed yellow out of the way as I agian got hit by this former gem. It agian cuased me to fuse. The thing unfused with me and ran off away from where we were exploring. I gasped at I looked at yellow, she was in shock.

"T-thank you" she stuttered.

"Your welcome..." I answered, helping yellow get on her feet.

She then put her hand on my head and messed up my hair.

"Pay back" she snickered,

"I saved your life missy you don't need to get payback." I growled.

"Heh, true. But really thank you Blue..." she smiled,

I smiled as I walked back to where I was.

I stopped as I spotted a strange marking on the wall. I brushed my fingers over it and stopped immediately. I could spot clear dark blue claws on my finger tips.

I gasped, "what! No- I can't be.."

What about Yellow?  I'll run away. It may hurt Yellow but I'm going to have to just to keep her safe...

I then dashed away for the exit of my path, luckily Yellow wasn't anyway near where the exit was. I ran as fast and far as I could til my legs hurt. I slowly stopped as I saw another warp pad. I got on it and went to another place. It was covered in this white stuff.

It's freezing!

I quickly ran to where I saw a cave. I went into the cave, there was nothing in it besides a few sticks.

Maybe I can make a fire. Maybe.

Yellow pearl's POV

I reached the end and waited for Blue. I waited about 10 minutes before looking for her down her path. She wasn't there.

"BLUE!" I yelled. She wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"Blue!" I was starting to freak out as I ran around the kindergarten.

"Blue?..." my eyes teared up as I realized she wasn't in the kindergarten.

Suddenly my communicater started to ring. I answered it was yellow diamond.

"I expect you girls to be back in 2." She looked at me, I just nodded.

She then ended the call.

What am I going to do?! I can't go back without Blue!

But as a pearl should do I walked to the closed warp pad and warped back to the diamonds head quarters.

I walked into the diamonds room they both looked at me and wondered where Blue was.

"Yellow... where's Blue?" Blue diamond started.

"She's gone. I have no idea where she went I checked the whole-"

"Then she will be replaced." I froze as I heard those words come out of Blue diamonds mouth.

"Well then, did you find anything interesting?" Yellow diamond looked down at me.

I shook my head 'no' in response.

"Mmm ok then. Go on now" she shooed me agian.

I sighed as I thought about what Blue diamond said.

'Replace Blue...'
