Chapter 8
Rose sat on the edge of her and Luke's bed, thinking about anything and everything. Her head ran wild with a million thoughts all based around Luke and their relationship. A few about how different her old life is to get new one. Will she ever get used it? She took a deep breath and walked over to the balcony. Leaning over the white railing, she looked up at the clear blue sky. The sun beamed down on Rose's face, warming up her skin and making her pale skin glow. She was yet to leave the house, as Luke feared she would run away or she would get hurt. Rose wanted to disagree but she knew it would be a bad idea, so she kept her thoughts to herself and continuously dreamed about running through the trees. The warm summers air blowing on her face and flowing through her fur. It was all she wanted to do, not be cooped up in this house, yes it was large. However she didn't know anyone and wouldn't go anywhere but her bedroom and the kitchen without Luke.
She sighed an looked down at the light green blades of grass that lead to the woods, as three wolves emerged from the tree line. They turned back into their human states in a blink of an eye, among them: Luke, Michael and Calum. Over the past few days Rose had grown close to Calum and Michael, after Michael apologised for being so rough when they first met. She found Calum cute and funny, the way he would laugh at everything Luke said it how he would always be up for a cuddle, no matter who you were. Michael, had grown close to Rose, he thought hanging around with her would be a new start to their friendship and his plan had happened to go very well.
Luke saw Rose looking at them, so smiled and waved at her, to which she returned. Their relationship had gotten stronger, with the more trust they early for each other and many stupid tricks Luke tried to pull off in front of her. But Rose had doubts to, she believed that he bad luck would strike soon and every good thing she had at the moment would come crashing down. Truth be told, she was scared, scared that she would loose the only thing that had cared for her and she had cared for back. Luke. He had shown her many new things, hundreds of places to visit in the world and all the food you could ever see. All of this from behind a computer screen, but what's the difference? She was just hoping for this one good thing, to last a little longer.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door."Come in." Rose called. The door clicked open and Revealed Melody, in a grey sweatshirt and leggings.
"Alpha Luke is back and he would like to see you, downstairs now." She smiled and Rise nodded, pushing away from the balcony and closing the doors, locking them. "How are you today?" Melody asked.
"I'm good, I'm fine. How are you?" Rose replied as they both walked down the staircase.
"I'm good thanks." She replied and an awkward silence filled the air as they reached the door to Luke's mancave, as he likes to call it. "Well, her you go." Melody said, breaking the silence. Rose opened the door to see Luke playing on his Xbox. He turned around to see Rose, he paused his game and got up, walking to the door, after giving her a hug.
"Take a seat, we need to have a talk." Luke said seriously, locking the door.••••••••••••••••••••••
