When You Love Something

The next few weeks were quiet for the most part, dice and devil were kept fairly busy with an influx of soul contracts coming up and really only ever had time for angel a couple times a week. Not that she minded. It gave her time to think.
She took a liking to singing on the stage in the evening once the devil stopped trying to dress her up like some Victorian doll.
Wheezy, Piroetta and mangosteen were all very happy to spend time with her in the absence of dice and the devil though and the group grew close. She learned how each of them came to be in the casino and they heard hers and the boy's life story.
It was nice, having friends around to keep her occupied and keep her mind off that heart broken look that Cagney had given her as the door had shut that night on her date with dice.
The whole situation was so complicated. Not only did dice want her, devil wanteed her too! And Nooo! No they didn't want her separately! But fucking together! It wasn't a common practice but she had heard of it it before... how could she have expected the devil to be into monogamy? He was the devil!

She sighed as she walked towards the elevator, kinda missing dice and the devil when someone grabbed her and pulled her into a broom closet, covering her mouth to keep her from screaming.
They pushed her against the wall in the dark closet and kept a hand over her mouth as they reached up to the the string for the light. "Easy t-cup!" Said a fimiliar yellow Carnation before he took his hand away and smiled at her.
Her eyes widened and she looked at him in shock. "C-cags? Cagney?" She said, stunned to see him there, unable to believe it.
He nodded and placed a hand on her cheek. "Its me! One and only!"
She felt tears of joy sting her eyes and she jumped into his arms. "Oh Cagney! I can't believe you're here! How are you here I though dev had imps at the door!"
"I grew in through a crack in the basement floor babe!" He said as he hugged her tight. It was so good to have her in his leaves again.
"Oh cags..." She whispered. "I missed you so much." She said pulling back and drying her eyes.
He chuckled. "Missed you too babe. Everyone is losing their minds about all this. Why won't you let's us bust you out?"
"The devil has my soul Cags. It's not safe. He could kill me."
Cagney pouted, glaring off to the side. "From what your brothers say he W ouldnt do that... he'd loose his new sex doll."
She gasped and stepped out of his grasp, looking at him as if he had just slapped her in the face. "C-cagney..."
He sighed and blushed, looking down. "I didn't mean nothing against you babe I just... I can't stand the thought of them touching you.... i...." He looked up and moved forward. "It makes me sick to think that I made you feel so desperate for love you turned to them..." He said, looking her up and down hungrily.
Her eyes widened and she blushed. "Cagney that's not it.... I genuinely like them...they...they make me feel like I'm something special... like I'm more than just some cup... they make me happy i...."
He cut her off by pushing her against the wall and pressing his lips to hers.
Her eyes got wide and she felt her heart hammer in her ears. No... no this didn't feel right.... It wasn't what thought her first kiss with Cagney would feel like at all... It felt...dirty...wrong...
She turned her head and broke the kiss and he went for her neck, biting her roughly, "ahh cags! Stop! I... I don't like this!" She said as she tried to wiggle out of his grip but it tightened as he pulled back and glared down at her.
"Are you telling me you'd rather be with the fucking devil and his dice lackey over me? I know you've liked me for years angel."
She blushed and looked down, avoiding his eyes. "I'm sorry Cags. I just... It doesn't feel right... I don't like it."
He growled and his petals formed to sharp points on his head.

"Well babe... You're gonna like it. I gotta snap you out of whatever spell they have you under." He snarled as he put his hand over her mouth and grew out his roots to hold her hands by her side's as his other had worked on her dress buttons.
Her eyes were wide with fear. What was he doing? Had he lost his mind?!
She tried to struggle, to pull away, to scream, to do anything but he was so much stronger than her...
She felt his hand slip into her bra and she closed her eyes tight and managed to pry her mouth open under his hand and bite him.
He recoiled from her and let her go and she fell to the floor and scrambled for the door, bursting through it to see the devil and dice walking juat a few yard ahead of her. "Dev! Dice!" She whispered, breathlessly, tears flowing down her face as she scrambled to stand and go after them. "Dev! Dice!" She said, louder this time, as Cagney roots grew out again and caught her by the ankle, making her fall and she turned to see him stumble out of the closet, glaring at her.
"I risked everything to come in here and see you and you treat me like I'm a monster?" He snaps as he used his roots to pull her towards him.
She flipped back over to try and grab something to keep herself away from him but before he could even get her anywhere near him the devil threw his trident and got the Carnation right through the skull and pinned him to the wall.
The root around her ankle loosened as the carnationed twitched and choked on his own blood against the wall and dice quickly leaned down to pick her up, "Angel what happened?"
She looked over at Cagney in horror... how could he have tried to do that to her. She turned her gaze to dice before she broke down crying, pressing her face against his chest as he held her.

The three of them were surrounded by patrons and other employees who were concerned and devil didn't like that so he growled, "Nothing to see here ya bunch of nosey busy bodies!" He shouted as he put an arm around dice and angle and lead them towards his room. He wanted to keep his loved ones close that night. "And someone who works for me clean up this mess!" He yelled over his shoulder.
