Dice, surprisingly, went even paler than normal and the devils hair all puffed out like a startled cat. That had not been what had had been expecting. He thought ahe was just sick and afraid to tell them that W ouldnt have been a big deal cause well... He had magic... but... pregnancy?
Dice had to lean on the devil to keep from falling out of his chair as they both stared at this small cup before them and a thought occoured to him and he turned to look up at devil who looked at him at the same time.
He seemed to be having the same thought. "Who's is it?" They asked turning back to her.
She bowed her head and bit her lip, "well.... It's one of yours obviously...." She said softly, her face red. This wasn't going well.
"Dede...Dede can you tell?" Dice asked, grabbing the devils arm and looking up at him and the devil swallowed a lump in his throat as he turned to focus on angel and the new soul forming inside her but... all he could get from it was a dark and strong power. "I... I can't tell... it could be either one of us with that kind of aura around it..." He said, leaning back in his chair.
Dice stood and turned to pace a bit. "Angel darlin why didn't you say something sooner?" He asked as he paced.
"I was scared you'd react badly! Like you are now!" She said, her voice small and nervous and dice growled and come over to her, putting his hands on the back of the chair she was sitting in and leaning down to be at eye level with her, his eyes a bright acid green. "I'm not reacting badly. This is just not something you hide from your partners!" He said as he straightened back up.
She whimpered and little tears filled her eyes. "I'm sorry..." She whispered, her hands over her stomach.
Devil stood up and came over to her, "dice calm down. She's was scared and you're not helping by being aggressive. I'm the one with anger issues here and even I'm calm."
Dice turned back to glare at him but when he saw angel crying the green flickered out of his eyes and he sighed and moved to kneel in front of her. "Angel... darlin don't cry. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have reacted that way." He said, cupping her face in his hand.
She sniffled as his thumb dried away a tear from her cheek and devil rubbed her shoulders. "So... so neither of you are upset by the baby?"
"No darlin! I've always wanted to be a papa!" Dice said with a chuckle.
"Well...that depends..." the devil said, letting go of her shoulders and she and dice looked up at him.
"On what Dede?" He asked
"If it's dice's kid of course I'm not upset... if it's mine I am a little cause that means we gotta get rid of it." Angle stood up and took a step back, her hand over her belly, "get ride of them? What do you mean? Why?"
"Angel. I'm Satan. Do you know what happens to a mortal who trays to bring an immortal being into the world that way? They die. Grousomly. And the bad never survives because the mother, their main source of strength for the first 5 years is dead." He explained, holding up his hands in a calm down motion.
Her heart began to pound in her ears and her knees felt weak. "And you...you can't tell who's it is?" She asked, holding out a hand for dice to take to steady her.
"Not this early no. A few more weeks and the powers should be more well defined and I'll be able to tell. Not to mention if an ultrasound comes back and it's square we kinda know who's the dad..." He said pointing to dice.
"What if that comes back and it's a cup like me?" She asked
"Then we go based off the powers it has and if it's mine then..." He paused when he saw her face and sighed. "Then if you still want a child you and dice can fuck like bunnies until the two of you have one." He told her, "but you can't have mine angel. I won't allow it. I will not, can not, and am not going to lose you." He said, coming up and taking her face in his hands. "I love you too much for that." He said, leaning down to kiss her.
She blushed and smiled sadly. She didn't like the idea of having to kill her child just because the father may be the Lord of darkness but...The odds were about 50/50 so she wasn't worried yet.
