Dark. It was dark and it was cold. Angel couldn't see a thing. She didn't know where she was at all and she was terrified. She swallowed hard as she slowly was able to raise her head after what felt like hours of trying. That drug really got to her whatever it was. She was finally starting to get some feeling back in her arms and legs as well and she found that there was a heavy metal shackle around her neck, her wrists and her ankles and they were each connected to a different wall than the one she was leaned up against. She felt the floor, damp concrete. And the all seemed to be cinder blocks. If she had to guess she was in a basement of some kind by the lack of light. There wasn't even any light coming from under a door or anything.
Why would Cagney do this? Who would help him? Why? And....and she swore Cagney was dead? How was he alive in the first place! None of this was making any sense.
She shook her head. She could worry about how's and why's later. For now she needed to try and get out. She slowly stood on her weakened legs and felt her way along the wall until she reached the corner, each chain seemed to be just long enough to let her walk to the opposing wall with little resistance so at least she didn't have to try and pull free to get around.
She eventually found another corner and began to follow that wall only to find an indention in the wall. Tall and rectangular. It had to be a door. She knelt down to the bottom to see if there was any room under it and it seemed like there would have been enough for maybe a bug or something to crawl through but not much else. She felt her way up the door for a handle but, didn't find on. The door felt like it was made of old metal with paint peeling off it as she ran her hands over it. She did find what felt like a little window towards the top but she wasn't sure and she couldn't get it to open anyway.
All she knew for sure was this seemed to be the only way in or out so she swallowed hard and started banging on the door. "Cagney! Cagney Carnation you open this door right this second or I'll pluck every last petal off your head and put them in a salad! Cagney do you hear me! Let me out!" She yelled, angry and hurt and afraid but desperate to get out.
After a few moments of silence, just as she was about to start banging again a light seemed to flick on outside the door and spilled in through the tiny crack under it. She gasped and took a step back from the door as she heard footsteps approaching it and someone begin to mess with a lock on the other side. Then all of then sudden the door swung open and there he stood. Alive and well. Cagney Carnation.
"Awake and kicking hub angel babe?" He mused with a smile as he stepped towards her. She glanced behind him to see a few other flower people she didn't recognize. One looked like a daisy and the other looked like a Venus fly trap.
She stepped back again. "Cagney I don't know what sick game you're playing here but it's not funny! Let me go!" She said though her teeth.
He chuckled, "why would I do that? You're my bait babe."
"B-bait? For what?"
"The devil and his lackey..." Cagney mused and her eyes got wide and she shook her head. "No.... no Cags you cant!" She pleaded
"Don't worry babe! Once they're dead all your senses will come back and you'll be back to normal again! Isn't that great! I'm gonna kill sin itself, save you, and then after that I'm gonna make you my wife! Like I should have long ago!" He said, stepping up to her and taking her face in his hands. "You just gotta be patient my little angel." He said, kissing her nose.
She took his wrists and looked up at him, moving his hands from her face, "Cagney please you can not do this! Cagney you don't understand i... im...." She whimpered, trying to choke back tears, "Cagney I'm pregnant! And I don't know if it's dice or the devils! You've got to let me go! I'm not under any spell! I love them Cags! I love them."She tried to insist but Cagney looked at her only in horror as he took a step back. "Don't worry angel babe... I'll get that taken care of too...we'll get it out of you before it can hurt you." He told her, turning for the door. "What?! No! Cagney please listen! Please!"
"It'll be ok soon angel babe." He said as he shut the door as she tried to come after him.
"Cagney no! Cagney wait please come back! Cagney! Cags! CAGNEY CARNATION!" She yelled as tears dripped down her face and she heard the door shut as their steps grew further away. She began to sob, pushing her face into her hands as she slid down the door and curled into a ball against it. "Dice...dev...please...stay away." She whispered.
