Parker's POV

There was something warm and wet on my face. I opened my eyes to see Sampson, my Great Dane, on top of me, licking my cheek.

"Sam, you're not supposed to be on the bed!" I said, scratching behind his ears.

He groaned and climbed higher on my bed. "Parker, that dog better not be on your bed!" my mother yelled up the stairs.

I quickly pushed him off the bed and pulled myself from the warm blankets. I put on a clean shirt and pants then spiked up my hair.

I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. "Hey, Parker, do you want to watch a movie today?" my little sister Abby asked me.

"Not right now, Abby, maybe later," I said, ruffling her hair.

"But why? We don't have school today. It's the weekend!" she whined, pouting her lip.

"I have things to do," I said, kissing her head and grabbing my keys.

I pulled out my phone and looked through my contacts for Natalia's number.

"Hello?" she asked.

"Hey, Natalia, you still up for our date today?" I asked, smirking to myself.

"Date?"

"Yeah, you said that you would go on a date with me today."

"Fine. Just let me get ready."

"Okay, see you later."

"Bye."

I put my phone in my pocket and walked out the front door. The cool autumn air hit me like a punch to the face. I shivered in response and jumped in my car.

I felt a buzzing in my pocket and pulled out my phone. It was Natalia's address. I smiled and started the car.

~.~.~.~

The car ride was very silent and awkward. I looked at Natalia who was looking out the window.

"What's wrong? Did you not want to come out today?" I asked looking back at the road.

"Huh? Oh it's not that, it's just family problems," she said, looking at me.

"Okay."

Natalia's POV

Parker was so sweet, usually guys won't pay attention to me, except Dylan, but he thinks of us as only friends. I looked at him and couldn't resist his charms so I decided to open up to him.

"Parker?" I asked.

"Yeah?" he asked back, glancing at me.

"The reason I'm not talking is because my mother is getting back together with her ex-husband."

"What's so bad about that?" he asked.

I told him everything about Anthony. He looked very angry, like he wanted to punch a wall.

"So your mother is going to let a piece of shit rapist live with you?" he asked through clenched teeth.

"I guess so and there's nothing I can do about it."

"She won't listen to you? Hasn't she learned anything from what he did?"

"It's okay, Parker. I'll just lock the door every time I go in my bedroom."

"That's not good enough."

I sighed and put my head on the window. He was right, that wasn't good enough. My mother was an idiot for letting him stay with us.

~.~.~.~

"Where are we going?" I asked, getting impatient.

"Surprise," was his only answer.

We stopped at a beach parking lot. Nobody was there, only the two of us.

"What are we doing at the beach in the middle of the fall?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"What do you think people come to the beach for?"

I groaned and got out of the car. "Don't get too excited," he said sarcastically, jumping out and grabbing the towels.

I walked on the sand and laid down a towel to sit on. I watched him walk to the water and sat down. "What do you think you're doing?" he asked, giving me a smirk.

"Sitting. I'm not going in that water. For one, it's too cold and two, I don't have a swimsuit."

"Okay, fine. You have two choices, you either take off your clothes, or I throw you in with them on. Choose wisely and quickly because I'm getting pretty impatient."

What choice did I have? Would I let him see me in my bra and underwear? Or would I go in and be extremely uncomfortable in my jeans? I had on my dad's old T-shirt that was covering my butt, so I decided to just take off my jeans.

I slowly walked towards the water, cautious of its freezing temperature. He came up behind me and lifted me up. "Parker, put me down!" I squealed, squirming in his arms.

He threw me in the ice cold water. "You were taking too long," he said, smirking.

I glared at him and splashed his face.

~.~.~.~

"Talia, can we at least talk about this?" my mother asked when I got home. I haven't talked to her all day and I could sense her becoming uneasy.

"Obviously you couldn't talk to me about it before you made your decision," I muttered under my breath.

I walked in my room to find Anthony sitting on my bed. "What the fuck are you doing in my room?" I could feel my cheeks get hotter by the second.

"I wanted to talk to you since we're going to become a family again," he said glancing up at me.

"You will never be my family," I spat in disgust.

He winced at my words, hurt spread across his face. I would never take back all the things I have ever said to him.

"Can we talk?" he asked.

"No! Get the hell out!" I yelled.

He got up and left the room, not bothering to close the door behind him. I laid on my bed and covered my self with my comforter. Nightmares haunted my once pleasant dreams.
