Josh Hutcherson as Dylan
Parker's POV
Natalia walked in the room after my mom and I were arguing about her. She looked completely flawless. I hope she didn't hear anything. She looked at me. "Ready to go?" she asked.
I nodded in response and grabbed my keys. She followed me out the door. "We can take my car," she said getting her keys from her pocket.
"Okay."
"You can drive," she stated.
"Really?"
"Yeah, just this once."
I got in the driver's seat of her car and turned on the engine. The radio blasted with music, making the bass vibrate the seats. "Sorry," she said, turning down the stereo. I don't know why she did that, I liked it.
~.~.~.~The yard was filled with people. We walked in the house, pushing through the crowd.
"You want a drink?" I asked Natalia as we made our way to the bar.
She shook her head, "No, I'm the designated driver."
I grabbed a solo cup and put some vodka in it. I drank some and led Natalia to the dance floor. She took my cup and set it on a table, putting her arms around my neck. I grabbed her waist and we moved along with the beat of the music.
The song ended and she stopped dancing. "I have to use the bathroom," she shouted over the music.
I watched as she walked away, leaving me in the middle of the dance floor. I grabbed my drink and sat on a couch nearby. I finished my drink, waiting for her to come back.
Natalia's POV
I walked down the hallway, looking for the bathroom. Someone gripped my forearm. I turned around to see Dylan. I smiled at the sight of his gorgeous face.
"Hey," I said, smiling stupidly.
He let go of my arm. "Have you talked to Julie lately?"
"Come to think of it... no, not really."
"You should, she thinks you're mad at her or something like that."
I gave him a hug. "Okay, thanks for telling me."
I looked around the house for Julie and found her surrounded by a bunch of guys, like always.
She smiled when she spotted me and gave me a hug. "Are you mad at me?" she asked, worried.
"No, I have no reason to," I responded.
She smiled and squeezed my hand.
I walked away from her with Dylan by my side. He stopped me and scratched the back of his neck. He always does that when he's nervous. "Can I tell you something?"
"Yeah, go ahead," I said.
"So, I realized this like last year. Please don't react the wrong way."
"Okay."
"I love you, Natalia. I was scared to tell you. I didn't want things to be awkward between us if you didn't feel the same."
"You know I can't-"
"Why? Because of what happened? Or because of Parker?"
"It's not like that. Dylan, I've felt that way for years, it's just that I can't."
"Would you at least give me a chance sometime? Please."
"Dylan."
"I'll wait for you. Even if you go out with a player like him."
I walked away from him, towards the living room. Parker was sat on a couch, talking to some girl I didn't recognize. She went in for a kiss. I couldn't watch.
I turned around and faced the other side of the room, tears streaming down my face. Why did I feel this way? I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Natalia, you okay?" Parker asked, giving me a heart warming smile.
I nodded and turned to face him. He wiped the tears off my cheek and it made me smile.
"Do you want to leave?" he asked.
"Don't you want to stay and party?" I asked, giving him a confused look.
"Not if you aren't comfortable."
"It's fine, we can stay."
"Okay."
He hugged me and led me to the couch. I curled up in a ball and laid on his chest, people pushing and music beating loudly in my ears.
