Natalia's POV

After the school bus came by to pick up Abby, Parker and I both went to the hospital. The way there, I felt nervous. I didn't know why. It was either nervousness or nausea. But I barely got nauseous.

Hmm...

We walked into the hospital and got in the elevator to the floor Julie was on. When we got there, there was commotion in the hallway, nurses and a doctor rushing into Julie's room.

We looked in the small window to see someone yelling at Brandon to wake up. Brandon got up, extremely worried and stood next to Parker and I in the hallway.

"What's happening?" he asked Parker as we sat outside the door in the spare chairs.

"We don't know," Parker said. "Her heart just started going crazy when you fell asleep."

Brandon sat down next to me and looked at me as tears filled my eyes.

"I thought I'd lost you, Brandon."

He pulled me into a hug. "I'm sorry," he whispered. "I'm so sorry, Natalia."

I pulled away. "You scared the shit out of me."

And he really did. I thought I had lost my only brother. He was my brother and I was not going to lose him any time soon.

He chuckled. "I scared the shit out of me too."

A doctor walked out of the room, a clipboard in his hands. He looked at each of us.

"Is a parent or guardian around?" he asked.

I stood up. "No, but I'm her friend-"

He sighed. "Sorry, but without a parent, I cannot let you see her."

I rolled my eyes and cursed under my breath. "Asshole," I mumbled. Parker lightly hit my arm to silence me.

I really wanted to see my best friend though. And that ass wanted to keep me away? I really wanted to stab him at that moment.

Jeez, was I PMSing?

"Wait," Brandon said, making everyone look at him, including the doctor.

"Yes?" the doctor asked, eyeing him passed the clipboard.

Brandon looked at the ground, then back up at him. "I'm her fiancé."

The doctor looked confused. "Getting married at a young age?"

Brandon nodded. "I couldn't wait. I was going to marry her next month."

"What's your name?" he asked.

"Brandon Harris."

He looked through his clipboard. "There's nothing here that says anything about a Brandon Harris being her fiancé."

"We wanted to keep the engagement a secret."

The doctor sighed. "All right, but just you. The other two cannot come in without a parent's consent."

I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms, looking at Parker. Brandon and the doctor left, so I exploded.

"What an asswipe! I want to see my best friend and all I get is a stupid, 'I need parents' consent'? What kind of bullshit are they running around here?"

"Natalia, calm down before you get us kicked out," Parker whispered. He looked around. "People are staring."

I looked away from him and sneered. "Since when did you start caring when people stared? Before I even met you, you would sleep with the ones who stared."
