Jace's pov
Ashley and I have gone on two more dates since the carnival am I wanted to ask her to be my girlfriend. I wanted to take her somewhere special. But where? Where is the one place she would think was magical? That's it!Ashley's pov
Jace asked me out for our fourth date. I don't know if you could call them dates. I mean we were alone, but it felt too forced, to stiff and formal. I didn't feel what I felt at the carnival. Were those feelings just in the moment? Will I ever feel that way again? He said he was taking me some where special so I wanted to dress to impress. When the time came, Jamie came over and helped me get ready. I showered and put on a dress. I did my makeup and put on some jewelry. I put on some white flats and called it good. I showed Jamie and my mom. "You look gorgeous!" Jamie gasped. I felt like a Disney princess, which was good and bad. What if it was too much? "If Jace didn't have a full on crush on you before. He's going to drop dead at this sight!" My mom said. I loved that my mom wasn't one of those overprotective "no dating till your eighteen" kind of parents. I was freaking out. I really liked Jace, but what if it goes like the other awkward dates? I didn't have much time to worry because the doorbell rang. I'm going to throw up!Jace's pov
I remember how Ashley always says that her dream was to go to Paris. She said that it was magical there and she would get there. One way, or another. I had the perfect idea for our date. My mom was friends with someone who owned I nice restaurant, so it asked a huge favor. We decorated the entire restaurant with lights and stars and made the whole place look like Paris. We even got a huge cut-out of the Effiel tower. It looked amazing. We cooked a traditional French gastronomic meal. I dressed in black pants and a green button up shirt with a black jacket. I combed my hair and called it good. Was I over dressing? I like Ashley so much and this has to be perfect for her to be my girlfriend. Everything about her is perfect. Her hair, her face, her smile, her laugh. I walked to her house and stood at the door. Here goes! I'm going to throw up! I rang the doorbell. The door opened and Ashley's mom stood in front of me. "Well don't you look nice!" She smiled brightly at me. "Ashley forgot something upstairs, she'll be down in a minute. Would you like to come inside?" I stepped in and sat on the couch. Then she came down the stairs and I saw perfection.Ashley's pov
When the doorbell rang I freaked out. "Uh I forgot my purse!" I ran upstairs while my mom opened the door. Jamie ran behind me. "What are you doing?" "I can't do this! What if he doesn't like me?" I would be so humiliated if he didn't like me like I liked him. "No. He won't like you. He'll love you! You look amazing and you have nothing to worry about!" She reassured me. "But if he doesn't like me anymore it'll ruin everything!" I had a good point. "Just get down there! You can't live the rest of your life hiding in your room. You were given life for a reason! Now go down there and live it!" I smiled. I was so lucky to have a friend like her. I went down stairs and saw Jace. He stared at me. I stared at him too, but I don't think either of us noticed. It was like we were the only two people there. "Eh hem!" My mom fake coughed and we snapped out of it. "You look hot!" He turned red again. "Uh I mean... Uh-" "your saying I don't look like a dog biscuit. Thanks. You look great too!" He relaxed a little and so did I. We left and started walking. "So are are you going to tell me where we're going or what?" I asked. "It's a total surprise! Let's just say it's somewhere special." He seemed exited. We kept walking until we came to a restaurant. I didn't see what was so special about it. If looked closed, but I trusted Jace and followed him tintype door. "Close your eyes!" He said and put his hand over my eyes. "Seriously?" We walked in and then he took his hand off my eyes and it was dark. "Uh-" I was cut off when the lights came on and I saw a room full of Paris. A banned said, "Welcome to Paris!" It was beautiful and perfect. "Jace I..." I had no words. I wanted to cry. He was the best person alive! "Would you like to join me in Paris for dinner?" I smiled and nodded. We went to a candle lit dinner and sat down. I looked at the lights glinting off of the fake stars. "I know it's not real Paris but-"
"Jace this is amazing! No ones ever done anything this nice for me! Thank you! It's better than Paris!" I couldn't stop smiling, then we were brought our food. "Shall we eat?" I nodded and we dug in. It seemed like it was never ending. Course after course of meats and cheeses. Then the dessert came out and it was amazing. We finished and I thought I would explode. Just then the music got a little louder and the light got darker. "Ashley, would you like to dance?" He led me to the floor and we started dancing under the stars. We danced in silence. But not awkward silence. Perfect silence. Then Jace spoke. "I, um, I got you something." He let go of me and I tired to stop him. "No Jace. You don't have to give me anything. You already gave me this night and I'll never forget it." He ignored me and said, "Well that's just too bad because I got you this and your going to have it. Whether you want it or not." He pulled out s box and opened it. I took out a silver charm bracelet with an A and a J attached to it along with an Eiffel Tower and a panda. He put it on me. "I got this to remind you of good times we have together. I will get more charms for more memories we have together." I didn't think I'd ever be able to wipe the smile off of my face. "There is one catch." I looked suspiciously at him. "Ashley Summer, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked me! He really asked me! Oh! I have to answer. The only thing I could think to say was. "We're going to need more chains for all the memories we're going to have! Yes!" He looked like he wanted to jump up and down with excitement. I did too. We hugged then he started to lean in. I did too, but then I stopped. "What's wrong?" He asked. "This will sound stupid, but this is my first kiss. What if I do it wrong? What if I'm the worst kisser in the world?" It sounded really stupid out loud. "Are you really worried about how well you kiss? I don't care if you kiss like a dog." He leaned in pressed his lips to mine. It was perfect. I don't know what I was worried about? It was like my lips had a mind of their own and just knew what to do! It was magical! My first kiss was with Jace Norman, under the stars in Paris!
