(Nishinoya's POV)

I brought Asahi back to my house...after I earned my mom's permission. We didn't speak all the way there, when we got into the house Asahi only said:

"Thank you for letting me stay miss Nishinoya." Before disappearing into my room. His voice sounded vain and...broken.

"...I still can believe it..." I said, and it was the truth. I honestly couldn't believe Kumi was gone...she wasn't just sleeping, no. She was never opening her eyes again. Never going to give that sweet smile again. I was going to miss her...but I can only Imagine what Asahi was going through.

Days. Asahi stayed in the same place for days.

He would only move to go to the bathroom or slightly move his hand to eat or drink water from the tray of food we brought him. He lay on the floor facing the window, lights closed and the blinds slightly open, immobile.

My mother and I were worried, but we didn't voice our concerns. We didn't have that relationship anyways. I didn't share and she didn't ask, We speak, but it's usually substantial; And when she does happen to speak to me, it because I did something wrong.

So I try my best to stay out of trouble with my mom; Because it never ends well when I do somehow get in trouble.

After the first few days, I tried talking to Asahi. I would sit on my knees behind his and talk, although he would never answer. He would lie there motionless, not making a sound. I admit, I was worried; but who wouldn't be.

You're best friend, who your hopelessly in love with is slowly withering away, as you watch. You can't help but feel helpless and powerless. You want to help but you can't, because you don't know how. You're on the sidelines watching, waiting, hoping.

Eventually I had to go back to school.

I would sit in class thinking about Asahi, was he going to be okay? Will he eat if he's alone? I hope he doesn't start cutting again...with all these questions and all this eagerness, the day seemed to drag on longer than usual. I was completely distracted during every class and I could barely focus during practice. As soon as I was changed I left, anxious to get home.

It was a beautiful night. You could clearly see all the starts and a wisp of beautiful blue and green painted the sky. If only I had had the time to look at the stars, but walking under them felt like an absolute dream.

I kept a steady pace towards my apartment, and soon I got there. I unlocked the door, and walked inside, taking off my shoes before entering. All the lights were shut off and a note from my mother was on the table I opened the lights and quickly read it.

"Yū, I'll be home late tonight there is good in the fridge." The note read. Noya put the note down and sighed. This was to be expected.

"Asahi, I'm home now." I called, as I walked into my room; but he wasn't there. I saw a note placed in the spot where Asahi had been lying this morning.

"Asahi..?!" Panick washed over me.
