(And if anyone's wondering. My mum is fine. Somethings going around and it wasn't Covid-19. Shes still pretty sick tho :(. She said she doesn't want my help ✊😔)

You poked the fire with a stick and stared blankly at it.
You assumed Johnny was already asleep but you couldn't say the same for Gyro.

You looked over to see Gyros head poking out his tent. "you plannin' on watching that fire all night?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"what's it to you?" you questioned staring back at the fire.

"Well for one it's cold out and you look like you could use some company" he smirked and made his way over to you. He huffed and fell down next to you, crossing his legs. "any reason your staying up late staring at some burning logs?"

You shrugged and looked to your right at Gyro. You stared into his beautiful green eyes that were impossible not to get lost in. He stared back at you and smirked. "see something you like?"

You raised an eyebrow and leaned your head on your arm. "maybe I do. Maybe I don't. Who knows?" you shrugged again. "you hair.."

"what about it?" he grinned.

"never mind. I don't want to bother you" you waved your hand.

"you could never bother me Y/N. Go on~". He said patting your head. You blushed and tried to pry his hand off your head causing it to instead find a comfortable spot on your shoulder, which to make matters worse, pulled you even closer to him.

"I was going to say that your hair looked really soft." you blushed.

"aww Y/N that's real sweet Nyo ho." he smirked. "you you like to..." he moved his arm off you and put his head on your lap.

"G-GYRO WHAT ARE YOU-"

"your going to make Johnny up. Be quiet" he said and grabbed you wrist putting your hand on his head. You blushed. His hair was reaaaaallly soft. You ran your fingers through it causing Gyro to shiver.

"s-sorry" you mumbled. Gyro turned his head, that was still in your lap, and looked up at you.

"nyo ho ho it's fine~" he did his trademark 'GO! GO! ZEPPELI!' grin and sat up. He smiled sweetly and leaned his head on your shoulder. "you should probably go to sleep now though."he stood up with another grunt and held a hand out for you.

"I-its fine. I'll stay out here a little while longer. You can go to sleep" you looked back at the fire, which was now slightly dimmer.

"in that case" he grabbed your waist and picked you up with ease. You were thrown onto his shoulder, causing you to yelp. "ill have to put you to bed myself". You could feel his grin as he walked over to the tent with you still slung over his shoulder.

"you had to pick me up like this though. Bastard" you mumbled causing him to giggle slightly. He gently took you off his shoulder and put you onto he floor. "uhh this is your tent" you pointed out.

"I know" he smirked laying next to you. You blushed and tried to sit up but couldn't when he slung an arm over you, pulling you back down. "I've got to make sure you don't get up to stare blankly at some logs again again"

You blushed as his arm wrapped around your waist and pulled you into him. His other arm found itself in your hair and ran though it. "you know. Your hairs pretty soft as well" he said stuffing his face into your neck and running a hand through it again.

You were blushing madly as the Italian continued to pat your head and cuddle up to you. You sighed and relaxed into him. "thanks Gyro" you mumbled and looked up.

"for what?"

"for being here for me. It means a lot" you said blushing. You didn't really like relying on others. It made you feel weak and vulnerable. Gyro was an exception.

"aww Y/N. Your so cute sometimes"

"that sounds a little patronising not going to lie Gyro." you mumbled and pressed your face back against his chest. He patted your head as you relaxed into him.

"goodnight Y/N"

"goodnight Gyro"
