I saw the machine reading, his heart in a race to survive the harshness the world has bestowed upon him, racing against time, he didn't seem to move, his body pale as though he was dead,his skin numb to the pain of love,his whole body in great contemplation on whether to survive or to leave everything behind. He is in pain I can feel that and I can't bear to see him like that.

It is 2:45 am in the morning and I told my parent I was sleeping over at Phoebe's, even though they were mad at me for not informing them earlier, after series of scolding they let me stay out.

It is now 3:05 in the morning, Peter was asleep and Jace has been there for over six hours and I am here worried and confused. Now that I come to think of it,I think Jace and Peter are more than best friends and that there is more to this Mandy issue. I'm gonna find out. At least I can do this much to help Jace. If I find out maybe I would be able to help.

"Peter,wake up", I shook him awake

"Yh? Jace where is Jace,what happened ",he said sounding scared.

"What happened, why are you sweating like this?",I asked worriedly

"It was a dream", he said shakily.

"Dream?", I asked

"Yes, Jace's life might be in danger", he said. That was like a sword aimed at my heart, it really broke me and I was on the verge of tears. I couldn't hold myself anymore, my heart was burning with an unanswered question, I really wanted to know so bad.

"Uhm, Peter?", I asked unsure

"Yeah?"

"I have a question"

"Go ahead,just don't ask about the dream because some things are better left unknown",he warned sternly.

"You know Jace said the same thing earlier today and I feel there is more to this issue",I said and immediately I felt guilty and I felt like an intruder but I have already started and I can't back out now.

"Mercy trust me you don't want to know",he said trying to convince me.

"I want to know Peter perhaps I could be of help,you can never tell",I tried to make him understand but he wouldn't give in.

"Am sorry Mercy, it will only make things worse",he said ending the topic but I don't want to give up.

I tried to convince her but she wouldn't take no for an answer.

"Peter, I know you are being protective of Jace and I really appreciate that but you need to know that we are also his friends and we care about him as much as you do",she said. Only if she knew.

"You know what Mercy,this world is full of conspiracies and some things are more than you think,there are secret that have been kept for long and it takes more than one person to uncover those secrets. Mercy, trying to know this hidden secrets could get you in a lot of trouble and you would wish you never tried to involve yourself",I explained carefully and let it sink into her before I continued,"Mercy,this whole situation........",I continued but quickly stopped myself,I can't break the oath,I can't afford to leak out the secret to anyone, not even Mercy.

"Peter,you were saying something",she said anxiously.

"No I shouldn't be saying all these things to you, forget we ever talked about this please",I pleaded. I have always avoided this situation, what got into Jace he should never have told Mercy anything about this,now look where it has gotten us,where it has gotten him
