Walking In Flames

Chapter 9

"Hey girl you look different" My best friend Louisa said.

I wore a black mini skirt, black T-shirt and a black boots. I decided to look different today so I also decided to apply black mascara and black lipstick. You might be wondering why I wore black all through.

Today was the day my sister died. 12th of October. The day I would never forget.

I just gave her a small smile and walked away.

"Hey what's wrong" she yelled trying to catch up with me.
Not wanting to break down in front of all this students in the hallway I bit my inner cheek. That's what I do when I'm nervous, scared or about to cry. But unfortunately it didn't work. I couldn't hold back the tears that spilled out of my eyes. Luckily, I wore the waterproof mascara because I knew I  could break down anytime. So I ran towards the girl's restroom with Louisa trailing behind me. I bumped into someone

"Hey look where........" He stopped and looked at my face. Louisa finally caught up with me. "Jayden what's wrong, why are you crying". Liam asked.

I didn't answer him, I didn't answer anybody. My breath wasn't steady I was having panic attack. The picture of Julie's lifeless body flashed through my eyes. I was still hearing the concerned voices of both Liam and Louisa but I blocked the voices. I found myself collapsing on the ground but a strong arm stopped me from falling to the ground. "We have to take her to the sick bay" that was the last thing I heard before I blacked out.

"I don't know she seems different today. She wasn't her usual self today and she wore black. That means something's wrong. The last time she wore black all through was at................. Wait I know why she seems sad today. I heard as Louisa said her words hurriedly. She speaks real fast when she's nervous but who was she talking to

"Calm down Louisa, why is she sad" I recognized the voice of Liam.

Umm.......... It's not in my place to tell you that

I opened my eyes to meet four eyes looking at me with worry.

"Hey guys" I said tiredly.

Hey how are you feeling, are you ok, what's wrong......

"Whoa whoa whoa one question at a time" I said looking at my two caring friends.

One of the best things in life is having a friend who truly cares about you

"Yes I'm fine now" I said sitting up. I was in the school's sick bay.

"Oh dear how are you feeling now". Nurse Charlotte said as she walked in with some files.

"I'm ok now". I said sincerely

"Ok dear you just have to rest a little more and then you can go". She said sweetly.

I really like Nurse Charlotte. There were two nurses in the school's sick bay. Nurse Charlotte and Nurse Brenda but everyone loves Nurse Charlotte more. She was nice, kind and funny but Nurse Brenda was the opposite. She's like a witch in human form. Today's like my lucky day Nurse Charlotte is on duty today.

I've just left the sick bay and was about going to class with Louisa and Liam. I can't believe they missed two of their classes and lunch just to stay with me. Speaking of lunch..... I'm hungry. My stomach decided to betray me by growling loudly.

"Wait don't tell me you are going to class now" Liam said looking at me with surprise

"Nope I'm going to kick some ass"I replied sarcastically. Yes dumbass I'm going to class now.
