Obsidian (Male Indoraptor X Reader Caretaker)

The Experiment- Day Four

This morning something bad happened. I don't know what since I couldn't hear on the other end of (y/n)'s phone, but it had to be bad, or else they wouldn't have rushed to get ready for the day so much. They took off the metal loop around my neck and told me that we were going to the car. "Ok Obsidian, there's someone we need you to meet now instead of hurting later. This is going to be different, so try not to freak out." Where were we going? I need to stay calm, though. Can't have another accident.

I was sitting in my cage like always when someone new came over to my cage. "Hello, I've heard all about you. Your sibling is coming too." Him? Why? Oh, he must be meeting this guy as well. Just as long as he stays out of here, he should live. If he takes one step towards me, I'll rip him to shreds.

(Y/n) Pov

This is a horrible idea. The worst idea possible. Having Obsidian so close to Ripper, and meeting someone new? This was a death sentence. That guy's gonna die, and none of us can stop it.

??? Pov

As I waited for the other one to arrive, I noticed the asset thinking, but also studying me. I can't be mad. It's hardly ever seen anyone. This thing is going to make me rich.

Timeskip

Eli Pov

Finally, I had Gunnar down here to look at the assets. He's got an eye for worth, so I was hopeful he'd give me an estimate of their price.

I saw (y/n) drive in and get out, with the other asset behind.

(Y/n)- Hey, Eli. This needs to be quick, Obsidian isn't happy that he's back here.

Eli- That's fine, it should only be a few minutes.

(Y/n)- You sure? I mean, both he and Ripper are going to be right next to a new person and they hate each other. I can't promise Obsidian won't freak out and hurt your guy.

Ripper?! Why are we back here? And what's with this new guy? Is he putting me back with Ripper?! If he even touches me or (y/n) I'm not going to be able to control myself. I'm going to try, for (y/n).

The asset interrupted out conversation by growling at me.

(Y/n)- Hey, calm down. I know you hate it here but it's gotta happen. I can't have you kill anyone besides me who doesn't deserve it!

Eli- Yes, it's okay. I won't hurt you, I have your sibling to do that on.

Ripper gets more pain? Best news I've had in a bit. Well, if this new guy is with (y/n) I can trust him.

(Y/n) Pov

I got Obsidian calmed down and the three of us went inside. Nobody stopped us as we got to the elevator, where I knew things would get tense. As the doors closed, I crouched down to comfort Obsidian and it seemed to work, he was less tense anyway.

Reaching the bottom I saw a new guy right in front of Ripper's cage and Ripper. We walked over to them and that's when all hell broke loose.

Ripper and Obsidain both noticed each other and began trying to kill each other through the cell bars. They both got a few cuts before I could pry Obsidian away from Ripper.

Good on them. I don't need this today. That runt needs to learn his place or he'll end up even more stupid than he is now. Of course I want him dead, but I can wait a little. Time for our meeting with the stranger.

As the two settled down I motioned for Eli and the new guy to come over and see them. Both of them were terrified but Eli introduced me and the stranger.

Eli- (y/n), this is Gunnar Eversol. World class bidder and seller.

Gunnar- It's nice to finally meet you, even under these circumstances.

(Y/n)- These two have a long history of violence. Neither one can stand the other, I don't like Ripper either.

Gunnar- Ripper?

(Y/n)- The one in the cage. This one here is Obsidian. So, why did you need to see them? I knew this was a bad idea.

Gunnar- Eli wanted me to evaluate them and see what they could sell for.

(Y/n)- Woah, sell them? You're planning to sell these guys?

Eli- Only my asset. Yours is still in your hands as an experiment.

Gunnar- Hmmm. Well, Ripper will sell at minimum, because of his instability, but he can be sold. This one on the other hand is trained. This one could sell better because it is less violent. All in all, for one, I'd say about 20- 35 million.

Eli- Very nice. Thank you, Gunnar. If you will, I'd like to keep in touch, I have more things that I will soon need sold.

Gunnar- Alright, well I need to be going. I'm a busy man.

(Y/n)- Ok, nice to meet you!

Humph. I wanted to tear these two apart! Trained? I'm not trained! I just love (y/n) and he loves me! We both look out for each other, him more than me, but not for long! Soon I'll be too big for my cage and then they'll let me stay somewhere else, then I'll escape with (y/n) and live happy.

I can hear them talking about me and Obsidian. They want us gone soon. Good. I'll escape and live free, dominating the world and all who oppose me! I am the greatest creature to ever exist! Damn right I'm unstable. That goon keeps coming back to torture me. I can't ever get my claws on him!

Eli and I decided that, since we were here, Obsidian and I would be staying. The experiment was over.
