If you think this first part is boring, please skip to chapter 4 :)
Since I found about it I couldn't stop myself from investigating about it. Even though I just got to know few things about it, I thought that was enough. So this is what I knew: Founded by Albus Dumbledore, meant to fight against Voldemort. But that was all I needed. The Order is not a math club or a school, it's meant to fight! Right?
But, why walking when you can apparate?
Simple reason. I needed some time to process everything that happened that night before meeting the rest of the Order.
Have you ever felt like you need time to think about something? And you just think better when you are walking? But you don't want to walk around your house because that makes you feel weird? Or, am I just the only one?
I walked alone in that fresh summer night repeating to myself the same words:
"Number 12, Grimmauld Place. Number 12, Grimmauld Place"
I had to get there as soon as possible. The first Order meeting... I couldn't be late.
Everything happened so fast. A couple of minutes ago, I was under the covers of my bed warm and cozy. I ignored everything that happened outside the four walls of my room.
I hear a loud knock on my door, four times.
Somtimes when it's late and something weird and unexplainable happens, don't you try to convince yourself that is something normal... like the wind?
I was half asleep, half awake.
Whatever was out there, knocked four times more. This time, it was louder.
I was curious and at the same time afraid of whatever was out there.
I sat on my bed, this time, someone kicked the door.
I left my bed and started walking towards the door, ready to open it. But before I could do anything I heard a loud noise and someone apparated in the middle of my living room making my small table break.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?!" I shouted to the person who just apparated and was taking out his wand.
"CONSTANT VIGILANCE!" it was Moody. "Never approach to someone who just apparated in the middle of his room! What if I was a Death Eater?!"
I didn't answer, just stood up astonished in front of him.
"You! We need you!" he said pointing me with his fat finger.
"For what? I've already finished my work at the Ministry of Magic!" and I was not planning to work more for them.
"Not for that!" he started examining my broken table and the broken stuff that was on it.
"Then for what?"
"For the Order of the Phoenix"
After that he explained everything.
I accepted. I was expecting he was going to accompany me to Grimmauld Place but he said he needed to go somewhere else and left.
***
I walked down a long street full of old brick houses that seemed to be the same house copied again and again and again. All were exactly the same.
I knew I was near Grimmauld Place. It had to be close. I had been walking for at least thirty minutes, maybe even more. Thirty minutes of the same sad houses was not fun.
Suddenly something changed. Have you ever had a feeling that somebody's behind you? That it's following you? That urge to... run?
I could hear footsteps behind me.
