Taking that step to find peace

Louis didn't know why the idea came into his head. It was a stupid, stupid idea! Why would he offer to live with his ex boyfriend! Not just his ex boyfriend , his ex boyfriend with a baby who also owns half of the flat he's living in!!! Now he was a nervous wreck, what if Harry starts to hate him? What if they can't stand living together now days? What if the baby completely ruins his routine and he's tried for work all the time? There was so many questions going through his mind , all of them causing him major anxiety that he just didn't need.

"Lottie do you think I'm making a mistake?" He asked his sister , painting the doorframe with steady hands.

"No... why would you think that? Please tell me you're not backin' out on them Lou?!"

"Of course M' not .. it's just- this is Harry. The lad I've been in love with for the past eleven years. The lad that I lost a child with, the lad I watched walk out of my life... it's all so-" He trailed off.

"Surreal?" Lottie guessed.

"I mean yes .. I'm so scared that he'll hate who I am now.. that I'll hate who he is. Or that living together with a baby will cause fights and what not .. m' just panicking." He explained to her.

"I understand but trust me Lou... around each other you'll forever be those love sick fourteen year olds you where way back when."

"You think?"

"Yep! Witnessed it myself this morning ... and I saw that cheesy smile you get on your face when you look at Arlo so I really don't think the baby thing will be an issue."

Louis paused , he still hasn't managed to ask Harry about the blanket. That why was he smiled so hard .. he thought Harry had put it inside of Amelia's casket.. clearly not.
"I-erm yeah I smile when I see him... but earlier on was different ..he er- he had Amelia's blanket wrapped around him. It felt nice to see it i guess, I don't know why like."

"Because for once you weren't pretending she never existed... let's not lie here Lou. You haven't visited her grave at all since the funeral. Everyone else has.. just not you and Harry." Lottie voiced.

"It just didn't feel right going there without him."

"Well he's back now so .. maybe you should go together."

"Nope , not happening." Louis immediately protested.

"Why?" She asked in confusion.

"Because .. even looking at him or Arlo is like a dagger to the chest at times.. she was so like them both. She was all Harry. I don't think could cope , I don't want to feel broken again Lotts."

"Honestly Lou... I don't think you'll feel broken. I think you'll feel at peace but hey.. it's your choice."

"T-thanks for suggesting it though love..I know you're trying to help .. but just so you know?" He paused making sure he had her attention.
"Just havin' you as a little sister is all I need to
keep goin' you make me proud everyday."

"I love you." Lottie smiled , moving to hug him at his side.

"I love you too... now grab a brush will ya! He'll
be here in a sec so ya' need to finish this!"

"Why me?! You don't need to help him in! He has Niall to do that!"

"Oh shut up and do it will ya'!"
