When Jay arrived at work that afternoon she truly had no idea what to expect. It was like that sometimes , some day's where chill and others where hectic. But what she didn't expect however , was to come face to face with her Son's ex husband ... the young man she once loved like her own. She couldn't believe the story Harry had told, how alone that boy must of felt the past three months. Gemma had been all he had, especially after he and Louis had split. So for him to have lost her in the way he did , it broke her heart.

She still remembers the day Harry's mum died .. he was only sixteen at the time. He and Louis had been together for just over a year. She remembers how calm he seemed , how Louis had explained Anne had suffered from a form of Alzheimer's . The mum he knew had passed away long before she actually died.
From then on it was just Harry and Gemma... their family only really bothered to check in during special occasions and their dad was a dead beat much like Louis and Lottie's .

Wrapping her head around Gemma dying was something she didn't think she'd ever need to do.
That's why as soon as her shift finished she immediately drove to Louis' flat... their flat.

"Jesus Christ mum! It's ten at night why ya' banging so loud!" Louis grumbled.

"Because you have a lot to answer for and I'm feeling a lot of things at once and need a hug!" She exclaimed , rushing to pull him close.

"Wha-oh.. oh ok." Louis sighed , coming to the realisation that his mother and Harry had in fact came face to face.

"That poor boy Louis..."  Jay mumbled into his shoulder.

"A-are you serious? That poor boy just basically kicked me out of his life all because of one stupid I comment I made!" Louis snarled pulling away to storm into his living room.

Jay knew by that reaction her son was feeling guilty.
"What stupid comment?"

"I brought up about how he always refused to idea of trying again, about ever being pregnant. Yetwhen Gemma wanted it he just said yes... I asked him why couldn't he do that for me.." Louis admitted.

"Louis!" Jay gasped , slamming her hand against her forehead.

"I know ok, I knew the second they slipped out my mouth that it was wrong of me to do that... but mum , he's here. He's actually here and I finally had the chance to speak out my feelings... finally admit that I'm hurting." Louis explained.

"Oh baby." Jay sighed , sitting down on the couch beside him. "I know him leavin' was something that left you with so many questions... but the boy just lost the only person who was there through everything, his sister , his last bit of family .. now just isn't the time."

"I-I know that, it's just - mum everytime I look at him it's like someone dug a whole in my chest." He whispered , voice cracking.  "I have so much hurt bursting inside of me... I-I want to be there for him but how can I be when all I want to do is hold him and cry for hours on end?"

"Who's to say that isn't ok? Maybe that's exactly what the two of you need. Lou.. I just sat for over half and hour with him just talking about how much being away allowed him the time to heal... but he felt as though he couldn't fully heal without you."

"H-he said that?"

"He did baby boy... he just wants you both to move forwards ... lay everything out , start a fresh. That's the reason why he came back. You're his home."

"I-I miss h-him mum... but it isn't the Harry I knew back then.. he's this whole new person." Louis sobbed. "I-I'm scared of that."

Jay cooed softly , pulling her son into her lap. Giving him the chance she had given Harry earlier that night to finally allow the stress of their unexpected reunion out.
