I walk back to the Slytherin common room, my head blanketed with several thoughts that clouded my mind. I couldn't think of anything except Draco. Was he ok? What was he doing right now? Is he in danger? Why can't he tell me such things? I respected that, but from what he was giving me to work with, I knew it wasn't good. We had just become boyfriend and girlfriend, and I had already felt like I was losing him; his affection. I knew that was just me, but he seemed so numb now unless him and I were alone in a room and we were talking of something else besides school. I look up ahead of me and I'm invited by dark and dim halls. That was quite the norm for Slytherin common rooms; but I welcomed it. It brought tranquility in a sense.
I hear a faint footsteps behind me, and I whip my head around. I couldn't make out any silhouettes in the darkness, and my chest started to rapidly rise and deflate. I keep my eyes bouncing around the room. The echoes of the lake sounded through the windows. It surely wasn't that though.
Suddenly, the wind is knocked out of me as I feel an arm press up against my neck, slamming me into the cold and cracked stone wall with force I was sure to leave a bruise. I look at the shadow.
Who the hell are you?!" I hiss.
"Lumos." A wand is held up, and it illuminated the silhouette. Pansy Parkinson.
"Sorry pug face, I don't have any more treats." But then I realized; she probably knew about Draco and I becoming a thing. Things spread like wildfire here, and it was insanely fast. I laugh. "Awh, you're mad that your owner abandoned you, huh? Well you never belonged to him." I look her up and down and snarl as she starts to glare. "Too bad he chose me; he never liked you." I smirk. Considering she was the one trapping me, I remained dominant.
"Keep it up, and you will meet the end of my wand." Pansy says hissing.
I raise my hands in a play surrender. "Ooh, so scared."
That was when she smirks. "You are a killer after all; I mean, look at you. You killed Cedric Diggory and you know it. You did it."
That was when my character broke. I didn't cry, but instead my vision became red and my hands shook with anger. I grind my teeth, and pick my wand out of my back pocket. That was when I take my arm and slam Pansy against the stone wall with full force, rotating positions. I had my wand pressed into her neck, and I wasn't thinking straight. Her eyes grew with scare and she closes them, turning her head to the side. I lean into her ear and whisper.
"And you'll be next, Parkinson." I press my wand in a little more, and that was when I hear a voice sound from besides us.
"Em?" It was Draco. I look to my left and see he was cautiously walking towards me, Pansy's wand illuminating his face and ours.
I couldn't find myself to respond. I look down and straight back at Pansy.
"Draco! Thank God, you came here to save me!" From that, I could tell she probably planned this scenario so Draco could see the "monster" I am and leave. But he wasn't idiotic unlike her.
Draco places his hand on mine, and I comply with his motions as his warm hands slowly put my wand back down.
"She was- was going to kill me! I-"
"Shut your mouth for once, and get out of here Pansy. Don't think I'm dumb. I know what you were trying to do, and it won't work on me." Draco says in a calm yet annoyed tone. She humphs and starts walking down the hall, fists at her side. What a child.
I look over to Draco. "I'm sorry.. I... she said I-I killed Cedric." Is all I could say.
He rolled his eyes at her words. "You know that isn't true, Em.. you and Harry were the only ones that tried to save him. She was just trying to get under your skin, and she knew how." He sighs.
