Levi's story
No ones POV:

She was dead. She was never coming back. Levi sulked to the corner of the dark room he was placed in, the room he watched his mother take her last breath in.

The door opened and allowed light to flood into the room. Levi watched as a tall man wearing a hat walked into the dimly lit room and stand by the bed, looking down.

"She's dead." Levi blurted. The man looked over at the boy, not noticing him at first.

"Dammit kid, you scared me."

Levi sat with his knees pulled up to his chest. He glared at the man as his vision was blurring.

The man leaned his back against the wall and placed a hand on the top of his hat. He sighed and lowered his hat over his face.

       "What's your name."

"Levi. Just Levi." Levi said coldly. The older man slid down the wall and sat on the cold ground.

       "Kenny. Just Kenny."

Kenny took responsibility in taking care of Levi and raising him in the Underground. Taught him hand to hand combat skills that Levi would need while living on the streets.

He kept the boy fed and trained for any conflict that may come. After a few short years, he let Levi go, stepping out of the picture. Levi watched in confusion as he watched the closest thing to a father walk out of his life forever.

Erwin's story

"Father, why do we keep going to war?" A young blonde boy asked his father.

The man promised his son that he'd give him the answer once school was over. His father, being a teacher, knew how dangerous his theories were, so dangerous that they may lead to death if the Military Police found out.

"Listen closely now Erwin, the people that we fight, this used to be their land but we won it from them fair. But, I believe that the King is involved."

Erwin's face lit up with joy. He knew that this was important and he must keep it a secret but, how could he. The boy was so excited about his new discovery, he proceeded to share the information his father gave him.

Erwin had no idea just how dangerous his father's theory was. His recklessness of telling his friends at school got his father into an "accidental" death arranged by the Military Police Brigade's First Interior Squad.

From that moment on, Erwin decided to pursue the truth.

After grieving the death of his father, he enlisted in the Training Corps after a few years. He soon became close friends with a man named Nile Dok, who Erwin shared his father's theory about the king with.

Once graduating from the Training Corps, Erwin joined the military without hesitation. That was when he stopped sharing his father's theory with others.

Erwin ranked up quick, soon becoming a captain of his own squad. His soldiers fought for themselves and the sake of their homes while Erwin had a deep personal goal to find the truth about this world.

"Get your filthy hands off of me." Levi retaliated as the tall blonde man held Levi's arms up above his head.

"Look around you."

Levi scanned the area and settled down, dropping his knife. The blonde man let go of his wrists and took a step back.

"You're smart. The name's Erwin, what's yours?" Erwin asked. Levi rubbed his wrists and stared up at the tall soldier.

"Levi."

"Levi," he said with a smile, "I have a request for you. Being the only apparent son in your family, I would like to call you to the military."

"I'll pass."

This reply didn't satisfy Erwin. He stepped forward and grabbed a handful of Levi's black hair and pushed him onto his knees. Levi let out an uncomfortable grunt at the action taken upon him. Erwin kneeled down before him.

"Let me rephrase, you will join the military,  and serve your country like a man."

"Tch. And if I refuse?" Levi snapped in a snarky tone.

"Then the police can have you. I'll have you know now, they won't be treating you very nicely."

"Fine. I'll join."

Levi gave in and became a part of the military, training under Erwin's wing. Levi already having a background with fighting, he learned quickly and moved up the ranks as the new captain.

"A-ahhh Erwin!"

"Mm fuck, Levi!"

Sex. Their sex was reoccurring and amazing. No matter how many times Erwin tried, Levi would never let himself fall in love. He would never let his guard down.

The two became close as soldiers, and as friends. They meant a lot to each other, been through losses, battles and even shared a sense of romance together.

Levi thought of it as pointless to get married or even fall in love with someone in a world like this. The fighting never ends. There's no time for love in his life.

Erwin had always wanted to fall in love with someone, get married, have a family. His desires always led back to his new found best friend, Levi. He knew Levi's thoughts on marriage, but he would continue to love Levi forever.

Erwin made it especially hard for Levi though. Sticking with him through thick and thin, caring for him like nobody ever has before, hiding his feelings was a difficult task. But he did it anyway.

"Levi, what are we?" Erwin said while lying naked with his head between Levi's legs. Levi ruffled Erwin's now messy blonde hair.

"Erwin, we've been over this before..."

The raven haired man stared down at the bigger man in his lap. He truly couldn't say for sure what they were or even his feelings for the man. He knew he loved him but would never admit it, resulting in him pushing the feelings away never to acknowledge it.

Levi's actions never changed, he thought it was best to keep things the way they were.
