WAR IS INEVITABLE

ACT 3 SCENE 2

(Strong winds rush into the castle's hallway, portraits on both side of the wall, starts rattling, causing irregular loud tapping sound. Rattling becomes intense as the wind bursts upwards the stairwell to the third floor. Portraits on the walls of the staircase rattle intensely and falls. One after the other, causing loud noises as they roll down the stairs. The winds subside and footsteps are heard, slowly, moving towards the third door on the left side of the corridor. All candles blows of as he gets closer to the door).

(Door creaks).

Haruk : (Puts his palms together with his fingertips pointing to his chin. Turns them sideways to face both east and west sides. Slides them asunder and pushes his hands in front as the door swings wide and shouts) "Dloob fo eht bmal !"

(A loud bang is heard on the opposite door and all the candles light back on. Two monks, all dressed in red robes with hoods over their heads and their heads facing down. Each standing at one end of the corridor. Both repeat the same hand movements as their master and shout. "Dloob fo eht bmal dnib htiw sniahc fo erif").

(Fiery chains slither down the bodies of the monks unto an invisible form which lay opposite the third door. Both monks slowly proceed to the body on the ground).

Ahakasin : (Turns to look at his master walking out the third room, pausing before the invisible body on the floor). " Master, it has not yet a physical body. Certainly this proves she has not yet harnessed the power of the second Kuma. Why then does she need the final now?"

Haruk : (Repeats the same hand movements as earlier and shouts) " return to Sheol".

(The ground opens up and the invisible figure binded in fiery chains sink into the ground as it cracks open with a red blaze coming forth out of the it just before it amends itself to its previous state).

Senith : (Standing to the left of his master) "Master".

Haruk : (Speaks as he continues to stare blankly into the floor) " Senith, inform His Lordship, that we can now gather".

(Senith nods, takes three steps back and turns to descend the stairs. Proceeds to the ballroom and stands in the centre of the ballroom just under the chandelier).

Senith : (Kneels on one knee with one hand on the floor and the other stretched towards the chandelier. He looks on the ground and twists his palm on the floor 90 degrees to the left and whispers) "Twice evael linice avant".

(A whirlwind descends from the dark night sky upon the the castle and swallows it up whole continuing to whirl around it).

Kofi: (Standing, clothed in fine suit and a pair of black trousers holding a glass of wine in his right hand and staring blankly with a look of shock on his face. He looks around and sees lots of people both men and women, elegantly dressed as if they were attending a ball in the late 90's. His attention is drawn to a voice which called for the attention of everyone present. He turns his head towards the voice and sees Lois elegantly dressed standing next to Kennedy with a soldier each to their sides and behind them are three people clothed in red robes with huge hoods which hides their faces. He whispers to himself) " A minute ago we were underground now ..."

Chris : (Interrupts his father) "Dad dad, have they brought Abena yet ?"

Kennedy: (Standing on a raised platform just as Kofi saw. Addresses the the people present). "Today, all of us have witnessed the threat of Lehumnava. Our little scheme of misdirection may have saved us today, but we cannot rely on that. Monk Harukansi has revealed that although Lehumnava has both kumas she has not yet harnessed the power of the second kuma. With that said we cannot wait any longer. Our queen has returned and she has brought with her the final Kuma."

(Whispers are heard).

1st man : "Have you forgotten sire, our queen betrayed us. She sold us to that evil demon Abban."

2nd man : "Sire we don't need her and her kuma here. We don't want to get involved in any Faustian bargain."

3rd man : "Your father banished her for a reason, she's bringing back all the evil with her sire"

Kennedy : "Silence ! Her deal with Abban was what saved your future kings life. That was what saved my life. She was my queen and she has proven her worth to me. Whether you accept her or not Lehumnava will not leave us alone. She wants to bring back Kumawood. We can't let her succeed. If she does Peyton Ville will become Kumawood. We will all perish and the whole earth will bow at her mercy. Our powers may not be strong to send her back to sheol but with the kuma we can we can save ourselves. (Points to Lois) This is our queen, this is the woman who saved your king's life, Queen Namakashi. From hence I declare her banishment null."

(A moment of dead silence fills the room).

Kofi : ( Looks shocked and very confused. Walks up to Kennedy but is stopped by the soldiers) " I don't get whatever the heck this is. You brought my family and I here 7 hours ago and just 2 hours after we got here, you put us in an underground room and you take my daughter away saying she's going to be alright. We stayed down there for five good hours and now I just appear here all dressed  up and looking soo good. Damn I am looking good.

Kennedy : " I'm glad you like the suit".

Kofi : "That's not the freaking point here, man, sire, whoever you are. I'm in the middle of people I don't know all dressed up like they're going for a ball in the nineties and I don't even know where the heck my daughter is. Look here Kennedy I am really pissed, you're calling my wife your queen, man.  That's so not okay. I want my wife and my daughter back. We're leaving this beautiful creepy town. Lois come down let's leave. This guy's crazy, he thinks you're some kind of queen he even called you Nama, Namakashi."

Lois : " I'm really sorry I didn't tell you earlier but Kofi, my real name is Namakashi. And I was his wife 15 years ago".

(Whispers are heard in the room)

Kofi : "Lois what the hell are you saying. Is this what you meant by explaining things to me. So I've been married all this time to a married woman and if all he said is true, I've been living with a woman who knows the devil" (staggers backwards and faints to the ground).

(A whirlwind of smoke pops up in the middle of the ball room blowing all the people to the ground except all those who stood on the platform. The monks come down the platform and clap their hands together. The whirlwind of smoke disappears and a female figure with long black hair and two long black horns on her forehead dressed in a beautiful long black dress appears).

Lehumnava : (Slowly turns around and finally fixes her gaze on Kennedy. Laughs cunningly) "Displeased to see me His Lordship McCarthy Sendlevec. Oh the British, they did leave an indelible mark on your culture didn't they. You even lost your native names. Anyways, I wouldn't miss a reunion like this would I Lois or wait should I call you Namakashi. It is such a lovely scene and I don't want to ruin it".

Kennedy : (In an angry tone) "How did you get here Lehumnalava".

Lehumnalava : (laughs ) "Oh, you thought your baby whirlwind would stop me. Oh poor King Kennedy. Oh and your little monks think they did something huh. They thought they had destroyed my most beloved demon. My word, you flatter me. All I did was send him to seek you out and he did just that. I do not plan on staying for long, I have a lot of hungry demons to feed. All I need is her ( Points to Namakashi) and her daughter, the final Kuma. Give me that as my present for this this reunion and in return I will bless you with a wonderful gift. A gift you can never refuse. I will not destroy your beloved town. I'll grant your town the honour of being my eternal slaves.
I'll be waiting for you dear King. You know exactly where I will be. And wait before I leave, zameleze lecute wanye derubrisora. You have only till before the red moon my beloved King.
(Vanishes in a whirlwind of smoke. Everyone except the king, monks and Namakashi lay on the ground).
