ACT 4 SCENE 1

(Peyton Ville)
Harukanasi : (Harukanasi says to Ahakasin who stands with a bowl in his hand). "Are you done preparing the concoction ?"

Ahakasin : (Ahakasin responds with a nod). ''Yes Master".

Kennedy : (Seated in his golden throne with Queen Namakashi seated on the throne next to her). " Lois, there is nothing I can do now. I'm a King without an army, I have lost a thousand of my soldiers to Lehumnalava, hundreds of my monks have been eaten up by demons. Peyton Ville is powerless, the world is powerless. Please, we need your daughter."

Lois : (leans closer to Kennedy) '' Sire, I love my daughter, I know I'm an outcast here and I am very grateful that you saved my family. However, I cannot offer my daughter to you as a sacrifice. My soul is not mine, my daughter is not mine. I am for Abban, Abban owns me Kennedy and you know that. If I give you my daughter, you will die.( Tears start to trickle down her cheeks). If I give you my daughter, my bargain with Abban will become null and you know what that means. I ..."

A house in Dexelcove.

Mary : (Sitting in the chair opposite Madam Isabella) " ...yes Madam Isabella, Henry has still not opened his eyes, (starts to sob). He has not opened his eyes since yesterday night. He just lay down on his bed sweating profusely and saying the name Lehumnalava. He kept repeating the name over and over again. After a while the sweating subsided and he begins to call the name Sir Benjamin. I don't know what is going on with my son.( Looses control of herself and contines weeping uncontrollably.)

Madam Isabella : ( with an expressionless face). " I am very sorry for you Mrs Mary. But please can I ask you for a favour. It's for Henry.

Mary : ( Wipes her tears with her palms.) "Anything for my son"

Madam Isabella: (Please, don't let your son go anywhere till he's alright. Not even church. I may not be a doctor, but with the recent deaths in Dexelcove. I really do not want to loose another student. Please keep him home till he's fully recovered.)

Mary : " But I'm a believer Madam Isabella. I I wouldn't let my son miss church for anything in the world."

Madam Isabella : "please Mrs Mary".

Mary : (a frown draws on her face). " I don't mean any disrespect Madam Isabella, but you cannot come and tell me, not to take my son to church. Is that why you came here? To tell me to not take my son to church. Why did you even come here? Are you a witch? Huh!

Madam Isabella : (stands up and begins to speak in a different deep husky voice) " Do not enrage me woman and do as I say''.

Mary : (Gets up and starts walking backwards) " Who the hell are you. In the name of ...".

(Door Opens)

Eyram : " Honey, honey, (sees her wife standing stiff, her hand pointing to nothing infront of her,with blood oozing from her nose. He now in petrified manner approaches her wife's stiff body). Honey Honey Honey..."

(Peyton Ville)

(Monk Harukanasi, walks around the ballroom with a bowl in his hands reciting some words as he continues to walk around the ballroom, walking over the bodies that lay on the ground).

Kennedy : (Walks down the hallway leading to the ballroom with Lois) " I know Lois, I know, but there is nothing I can do. There is nothing we can do. Your daughter is the only reason is the only reason Peyton Ville is dead".

Lois : ( Stops in her tracks and with a stunned look on her face asks Kennedy). " What did you say ? My daughter is the only reason Peyton Ville is dead!"

Kennedy : (Stops and turns back to look at Lois). " Yes Lois, Peyton Ville is dead. All the people you see here, they're all dead. All the buildings, everything is not real Lois. Peyton is a desert, and you know who caused it? you know who did it? You did Lois. You did. You destroyed, Peyton Ville you destroyed a civilization. I did not loose my people to war! (Tears stream down his face) I lost my people to Abban. I lost my people to him. You sold my people for my life, not yours Lois mine people's life. The only people I have here are the three monks. Everyone else is dead."

Lois : (Falls to her knees with tears in her eyes)" I...did...all this. I killed all these...people".

Kennedy : (Walks towards Lois) " Yes Lois you did! you killed all these people because of your carelessness, you killed all these people because of your gullibility, yes you killed everyone, but Lois you can change all that, you can bring everyone back, just one trade Lois, just one sacrifice. Your daughter".

Lois : (Lifts her head to look up to Kennedy)" But, but , my daughter...and that would open the gates to sheol, and anything can come up from there. You know this Kennedy, you also know that, that will kill my daughter and the whole world would be filled with spirits of the dead, demons and ...no no I will not do it."

Kennedy : ( claps his hands three times, laces them together, pulls them apart, places his right palm under his left, turns them straight and pulls them apart).

Lois : ( Lois gasps at what she sees and bursts into more tears).

Kennedy : ( Turns around) " Take a look around Lois. What do you see? " Oh, where did the walls go ? Where did the paintings go? Why is this happening? Do you want to know why? Here is why, Peyton Ville is dead. All you see around you is fabricated, nothing is real. I had to bring you here, I had to make you trust me ! that is why I attacked your family, that is why I made this Lehumnalava thing up. Guess what, your husband, he's a smart man."

Lois : ( Slowly gets up ). "You, you did this, you sent the demons, you tormented my daughter. (Gaps). All the missing children, you, you're a monster, you're the devil".

Kennedy : (Turns around and smiles) " Oh no Lois, I am more than the devil".

(A house in Dexelcove).

(Eyram stands with another man. Both men looking at the stiff lady who stood with blood still dripping from her nose).

Doctor : ( looks perplexed). " I'm sorry Mr. Eyram but I've never seen anything like this before, I suggest you take it somewhere else. The woman is frozen with blood continuously oozing from her nose. (Pulls a card from his pocket). Take this card, I think you may get some help from him".

Eyram : (bewildered, slowly accepts the card with his right hand as tears flow down his face) ''My son, my wife, who next, me?"
No, Isaac is still at the hospital. (Rushes out of the house)".
