5: Nightmare

Request: Son has a nightmare
*kinda short..*

It's been a fairly peaceful night. Chris got your son in bed around 8:30 before the two of you headed to your room and called it a night.

The two of you are cuddled up together. Chris is flipping through channels on the TV while you scroll through your Instagram feed.

Around 10:30 or so, you hear the little patter of your son's feet coming down the hall.

"Mommy!" He screams, jumping into your bed.

There are tears streaming down his face and his breathing is heavy.

"What's wrong, honey?" You ask, pulling him close to you.

"Bad dream..." he sobs.

"You want to stay with us?" Your husband offers.

Your son nods, squeezing in between you and Chris. He lays his head over on Chris's chest.

You can't help but grin at the sight. Your two loves.

You're so thankful for Chris. He's been the best dad you could ask for.

"Want to watch a movie?" Chris asks, rubbing the child's back.

"Let's watch captain America..." (your son) says.

Chris chuckles. "Okay, buddy.."

I'm sorry it was so short! I've been pretty busy with school work :)
